When I had the car to myself for 2 days and then 4 days

Of course I made sure I fully utilised it while I could. I took days off work and had a vacation in Singapore ๐Ÿ˜€

Day 1:

Went to
The Tiny Roaster and got a white brew made by Hazel ๐Ÿ˜€ YAY ๐Ÿ˜€

Went to pick up Amanda and Hilary and then we went to Riders Cafe for lunch because seriously you need a car to eat the yums. And I miss the food!!

Truffle fries!

Bricked chicken!

Riders burger!

Moroccan lamb shank!
Then they go home…

Planned to zichar high level with Hazel at Farmart but I was too full from lunch T____T

So we ate bee hoon and shrimp omelette only. Walao.
Then she go home…

Got Lynette from Orchard and went to Cha Cha Cha for supper with the rest. Waste time leh just now -__-

Of course I couldn’t eat much…
Then we went to Hilary’s place and played a round of The Game of Life hahaha Lynette was a sad lonely infertile woman who at the end still had to adopt children LOL.

Nacho!!! Poppy was to black to show up in photos… Cats are so scary :/

Day 2:

Drury Lane with Marissa and Joe!

They forgot about my coffee for hella long until after all the food’s gone :/

Then we went to Cake Spade for the unicone cakeshake. It was like diabetes in a jar. It’s amazing Joe eats this thing.

Ok then I had to send them back and go pick up my mum lol.

The Prata Place @ Springleaf is like ok only but it’s so crowded!!

The plain one is good but

the prata benedict is just ???? what.

Hard Rock Cafe for Marissa’s 20th ๐Ÿ˜€

Meat sauce omurice at Watanabe Coffee is so damn good T___T

I also have very low resistance to Japanese sweets so I got this damn good Hokkaido cream thing T___T

Yum coffee

Al Afrose because back to work again .__. Nice chicken murtabak I eat every time ๐Ÿ™‚

Mayor 5eva!

I love the soup at Kenny Rogers lol.

OK IT’S CAR TIME AGAIN!!!!!!

Day 1:

Exciting excitement with the excited!! At Bollywood Veggies!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Poison Ivy for breakfast because farmer time ๐Ÿ˜€

It was drizzling when we started walking around but we didn’t care…

At the last stretch we had to run to shelter because it started pouring like hell but we were at the end of the trail anyway ๐Ÿ™‚
Then we lepak waiting for the rain to stop (it wouldn’t) and I’m like how about we just move on to the next place?

Hay Dairies because Amanda really wanted to buy goat’s milk lol -___-

So smelly but so cute!! ๐Ÿ˜€

We went around Kranji and its farms like the frog place and plant place and we went to have dinner? I can’t remember hahaha…
OH!!! We went to Pasir Ris!!! Some pet farm! SO MANY CUTE PERSIAN KITTIES!!!!! T____T I wasn’t allowed to take photos T__T
Then we went to look for dinner!!

Got a calzone at Peperoni Pizzeria and I died.

Day 2:

Went to the zoo!!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Because Jes has free tickets AND free parking tickets!!!! YAY!!!!! YAY JES!!!!
First time I went without a camera which is actually really great because I carry less stuff and I suck at taking animal photos lol… I’m not even gonna lie…

Saw the baby giraffe ๐Ÿ˜€
I’m shorter than it :’)

I fell in love with the koalas ;___;

They my fave ;_____;
Ok lunch was discounted!!!!!!!!!! THANKS JES!!!!!!

$10 of chee cheong fun. SHIOK!!!!

Why aren’t all our crossings framed with this?

Ok then no more car.
I love driving.

Zion Riverside Food Centre

Wazzup. I know I’ve neglected this space once again. But that’s because I love my job so much.
Recently snagged the mayorship of the said hawker on Foursquare (LOL nobody uses it anymore) and thought it should be my duty to fill here with pictures of repetitive food choices ๐Ÿ˜€

When I first found out there was a hawker I was shocked la… Cos I passed this road for 5 months before and never once noticed its existence. What’s more, it was home to so many popz stalls.

Lau Goh’s CTK. It’s sibei yums. Then I found out the black one was nice too.

Boon Tong Kee’s duck rice. Ya, you thought they made chicken rice but this is good too.

This wanton mee is niceness. But it makes me miss the one at Smith Street a lot T_T

Ingredients gao gao char kway teow. Anyway, I brought my mum to eat this and she said it’s yummy. She is damn stingy with praises so it’s safe to say it’s damn good. I’m in no position to judge char kway teow because I seldom eat char kway teow.

Chicken chop took no time at all to prepare. It’s yummy but the chicken chop is more like chicken slice I’m quite sad about that ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

The one thing there that I feel I won’t eat again…

Damn good fishballs O____O

The one time I found the store queueless so I went to the display and saw CEREAL CHICKEN omg ๐Ÿ˜€

No effort chicken rice set ๐Ÿ˜ฅ I look at the vegetable and I cry.

Also the BESTESTESTEST iced Milo in all history of hawker iced Milos. Kenjo is 24 hours but it’s more like 24 minutes. Sometimes it’s closed ๐Ÿ˜ฅ The uncle see Douglas and I coming then pull down the shutters or something LOLOL.
Anyway I don’t think you can find a thicker iced Milo that stays thick even after all the ice has melted.

Discovered the BBQ wings are hella yummy.

Maybe any BBQ wings beside some form of water body will always taste great i.e. at East Coast Park and stuff.

When I was buying the wings I noticed the queue at this prawn noodle stall was L-shaped… so I made it a point to have some when there’s no queue. It’s so nice T_T it’s like tonkotsu with prawns.

Addiction T_T

Hazel came to meet me for dinner one day. I then realised it wasn’t me she came for. It was the fishball noodles ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Bak chor mee and I figured the fishball noodles are still better because their meatball had the really porky taste :/

Ayam panggang here is actually not bad but it makes me miss the one in NP :/
PRO TIP: Be a guy or get a guy to order this for bigger bang for your buck because if you’re not an auntie-killer, the $4 you spend will yield much lesser food…

Told you so…

.___.

Another annoying thing I’ve been doing? Rotating between 3 meal options (actually 2) at Ichiban Boshi thanks to their mega value off-peak meal.
That’s like $6.90 after taxes for a mini donburi, chawanmushi, miso soup and tea. The word mini shouldn’t really be there because this $6.90 will fill you. Of course, at the expense of having your meal at a weird ass timing that is neither lunch nor dinner.

Karaage don. This is why the 3 eventually became 2.

Because 3 pieces of chicken is really not worth it in comparison to the others…

Yakiniku don. You see why.

Tempura don. They don’t let me change the vegetables though. The good thing is there are colleagues who don’t eat ebi tempura (why?!) and eat eggplants and lady’s fingers (WHY?!) so we trade tempura LOL.

On days I don’t feel like eating fried food I’d opt for this.

But this usually wins because the scrambled egg between the tempura and the rice is the MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ;__;

Other food stuff with a little more variation (who am I kidding though):

Kid’s meal at Ramen Champion. Delicious. Why aren’t adults’ meals as comforting and assorted?

Also, it came in a car. Speechless ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

Tebasaki. Bae.

Unbae.

Omurice ๐Ÿ˜€

The other time twister fries made a comeback for SG50, I ate few things else.

If they served twister fries in the morning, you wouldn’t see this on the tray.

Gone case.

Banana Nutella crepe at Ned’s Crepe. Think I need to figure out how to make my own crepes and eat them forever or something.

Yuzu honey soft cream costed me a bloody $6 or something as ridiculous at Isetan’s fair :/ sucker for Japanese food T_T

Usual cheese baked pasta at Eighteen Chefs

!!!

Chรขteraisรฉ had an atrium pop-up and I saw it every single day. How could I resist???????

This mikan ice-cream is beyond belief. Unfortunately, it’s some limited edition thingy that the chef at Kuriya made just for this pop-up. Lagi unfortunately, Zihui and Jes who tried some on my recommendation didn’t like it .__. ACQUIRED TASTE AH.

Castella!!

Brown sugar castella!!!

Ramune ice!

Double fantasy cream puff!

The last day of the pop-up I went overboard ._.

Bento is life. Period.

Unatama for $8 T_T yumz T_T

Surprise pasar malam. Take my money.

Pisang keju???

Fried fish bee hoon soup at Chai’s Original Sliced Fish Soup.
You know, if someone names their stall after a dish, you should order it…
Because I gehkianged and ordered fried fish I had a terrible first impression of this T_T cos I was eating bunches of flour with no fish whatsoever T_T

Ok then this one got fish. Because I bought the dish the stall was named after. Rule of thumb.

Never trusting cereal fish that aren’t from Kimly.

Pepper Lunch lor…

Triple-Os has 0 customer for as long as I’ve seen the food court and I went and got myself a burger. Really nice fries but now I’m just really skeptical about the food because how long has it been there?? It was also the day my phone shattered I had to use my phone in a plastic bag so I don’t cut myself up using it excessively.

Tony’s Pizza. X__X

Truffle fries.

Shared this 18″ with Douglas. Is eating more than a guy a cause for worry? Anyway I died when I went home. 4 slices is no joke X___X

Potato soup ๐Ÿ˜€
The other time Zhu Jun was like “is this an ant?” then she called for the waiter and went “THERE’S AN ANT IN MY SOUP!!!” and I just LOL-ed because I was watching my childhood joke books in person for the first time ever hahahaha turns out it was some herb from their bread that looks really like an insect!!

Breaded chicken leg ๐Ÿ˜€

Fruit tart ๐Ÿ˜€
Pepper Steakhouse & Bistro seems to be always empty and I was of course pleasantly surprised to learn that the food tastes great and the set lunches are so affordable ๐Ÿ˜€

This is Mike’s croissant pudding. He asked me to take a photo of it for him and then I refused to send it to him and tried to sell it to him as if it were stock .___. he still doesn’t have this picture.

Tomato soup ๐Ÿ˜€

Praline mousse tart ๐Ÿ˜€

Chicken hor fun at ๅ“ๅ‘ณๆ–ฐๅคฉๅœฐ (thanks geo-tagging, I’ll never have remembered this name without you) was yums.

We were sitting beside Krispy Kreme for a month and finally we decided to buy some. I’m not a donut person.

My first time at Kenny Rogers Roasters.

The chicken soup is damn nice la!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Hahahaha

Jes looks like a 35-year-old mother of Jasmine’s.

Shared this pint with Zihui. It’s damn yummy????? T_T
Anyway, I miss Zihui as a co-pilot now that she’s in UK. We didn’t even have a supper we could call successful yet! :/

Gastronomia‘s lasagne ๐Ÿ˜€

New additions to my tiny Tomica collection. (I earned negative on this day thanks to the toy store T_T)

Nutella cake ๐Ÿ˜€

Favourite salted caramel crodo ๐Ÿ˜€

All the while I thought Don‘s logo was very sketchy so I never tried to give it a try. Mana tau the chicken pie is damn delicious T____T

Ducky at Poulet

Never really enjoyed Snickers because they always hurt my mouth since it’s a hard brick of dryness but Snickers ice-cream is something else.

Then there was once I shared this 1.6kg watermelon with Jes because it looked so good and I was craving for fruits :/
I totally loved it but everyone kept staring ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Why is it ok for you to eat Llao Llao while walking and me eating a watermelon is not?!?!!?!?!?!?!?

Jasmine & Friends. She turned 20.

Maggi goreng pattaya at Spize. It’s so spicy but it’s very nice la.
The sad thing is… the Milo dinosaur here costs $3.90 and isn’t even thicker than my $1.50 iced Milo at the hawker T_T

Other food stuff eaten when not being paid to be eating (hahahaha):

Had breakfast at Asanoya Bakery before I went to get myself a job. Yummy as before but I had to chow it down for I was almost late :/ When will I eat here without being pressed for time?

Crispy pork belly burger with fairy fries at Hambaobao. Really yummy and affordable. Except the place is really humid and dark…

Green tea bingsu at Binggojung! It’s like ice kacang on steroids!!!! Why is it that kakigori that I prefer and has been around for much longer never got its popularity?

Champignon red wine pork chop at Three Little Pigs. I felt rather upset that I spent half my day’s earning on something unsatisfactory.

Submarine baked potatoes wowowow!

Juchheim had baumkuchen ice-cream ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ BAE

Red bean bingsu (hahahaha my caption then was “red beangsu” hahahahaha I’m so funniez) at Cafรฉ Insadong which I thought was super expensive for its size???

My seat was awesome and the mobile column was ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

Rong Cheng bak kut teh afterwards.

I’m so boring I only drink the same shit at Koi all the time. Ice-cream hazelnut milk tea with konjac and pearls.

Teacher gave everyone Gudetama ^____^ hahahaha

The ultimate ๆŸๅ‹ that is Chara.

Honey chicken bento from Kkul Dak. Very friendly staff but Korean bento < Japanese bento I'm so sorry…

Went to Dosukoi Sakaba after some time at Fivไบ” .___.

ๆŸๅ‹ is ๆŸๅ‹… Nobody liked sake but we got sake??? What the

But their edamame is hella good!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

Stingray .__. tastes like any other dried fish and I don’t mayonnaise.

Genius. We went to Chinatown at 10pm looking for the bae xiao long bao but forgot that shops usually are closed by then .___. So we ate the Tiong Bahru chicken rice. Soup remains damn damn damn damn good ๐Ÿ˜€

Huay Kwang Thai Mookata for Fiona’s 20th ๐Ÿ˜€

She was very surprised ๐Ÿ˜€ also bought her 5kg of russet potatoes X__X

Had my favourite Ootoya oyako don only to find they have changed the presentation.

And they reduced the size of the chawan and this one tasted like disappointment at its finest. You should all by now know that I worship this place and have high hopes for everything but tasting this was like learning that Santa doesn’t exist, etc.

Qi Ji popiah in the car.

And it’s yum!

Happy Mookata with the swagglez.

Because ๆขฆkata is the dream. Also didn’t invite the GOH whom the event was named after .___.

Worked till 11.30pm at Changi X_X and then cabbed to freaking Boon Lay to Power with the supper club. At another table. Friends??? ;__;

Because I don’t like chilli and ikan bilis, my nasi lemak looks more like primary school mixed vegetable rice without zhap. It’s really yummy though. Or it could be that I was totally famished because I didn’t eat since starting work at 1pm? (Because by Jia Ling’s rule, sushi is a snack and I can totally agree)

Went to Ming Jia Korean Food with Jasmine after her class and had my first jjajangmyeon! It’s very nice!! ๐Ÿ˜€
But you know what? I had a sauce stain on my face for an hour while shopping for dinner ingredients and not once did Jasmine try to tell me I have stuff on my face. Bitch.

Table-for-1 at Brewerkz simply because I was nearby after I finished delivering and craved my favourite soba salad ๐Ÿ˜€ $27 and got so many mosquito bites T_T

First time at Swee Choon Tim Sum because Chara was driving! ๐Ÿ˜€

Har gow looking super sad. Since when did har gow come in twos??? T_T

This prawn beancurd roll is a ball of fire!!! Niceness.

Never…

Some #chefcasia:

Nutella-stuffed French toast and broccoli stir-fry ๐Ÿ˜€

Tried baking cod but I have come to terms with my not having any affinity with the oven.

Went to Singapore Night Festival and caught an amazing performance ๐Ÿ˜€

The full moon in the background makes everything even nicer.
I loved the display ๐Ÿ™‚ Also got an awesome spot ๐Ÿ™‚ Although if anything went wrong I was sure I would have died because I was constantly underneath the suspension LOL.

If you’re wondering if I made any profits at work… HAHAHA what do you think??? I spend on food as I earn T___T Just look at what I’m surrounded with T___T

Last 3 Months of Year 3 & Gan Yakitori

I don’t even know how to begin lol. Just gonna put all my Instagram posts here and some of those from my camera. Backwards too, so the sequence might be quite incoherent.
It’s going to very long. After all, 3 months is about 90 days and that’s rather long. Maybe you’d want to scroll to the part about Gan Yakitori. It’s delicious.

Watching One Piece while having dinner in school after studying lol.

Lou yu sheng with Ms April Ng one day because we bought her abalone as a token of appreciation for helping us with FYP, so she got us to lou hei together. I’m pretty sure she didn’t eat a slice of abalone at all.

This one she made was the most delicious yu sheng I’ve ever eaten, and for the first time I actually ate everything and not just pick out the crackers (I don’t like sashimi (yet)), because she left out all the crappy stuff that are usually found in the standard ones like ginger.
She made it very Japanese too so that’s a plus point lol. In it were lettuce, radish, carrot, seaweed, jellyfish, abalone, salmon sashimi, ebiko and sesame dressing. Everything is edible much unlike the standard ones. And jellyfish. Genius.

Bought these Hacchando reito mukan, which are frozen and peeled mandarin oranges, simply because the packaging was super cute and it was 2 boxes for $5 and a lot cheaper than its original price.
It tastes like dried apricot and then it became orange ice-cream and as it thaws it tastes more and more like crispy orange juice. (I copied this description from my caption because it is the most accurate depiction of this thing ever.) Anyway, I think I was supposed to let it thaw before eating it but I don’t know??? I still have a box in the freezer lol.

Had dinner at Gan Yakitori one day after studying, sometime in February a week or so before CNY. Was at the Star Vista one (in case there are other outlets) and the service was atrocious!!!!! Inattentive as hell and they kind of just forget about you until you walk up to them or something. I wasn’t even shown to my table. I asked for a table and this staff acknowledged and just turned and walked so I followed thinking she was bringing me to my table, but she just went to attend to another customer?????
So I just hovered around cluelessly until another staff made me sit at the counter. I was waiting for the menu then. I waited for 5 minutes with intermittent waving for attention. 0 attention. So I walked to the nearest staff who was like 1 metre behind me at the cashier. Wow. Thanks. So I got my menu and had to wait about a minute after I decided and called for many staff who all ignored me, before someone actually noticed me.
Then, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be cooked. One of the items was served wrongly too. It’s not even full house yet so I don’t even want to imagine that scenario. If you are dying of starvation you ought to skip this place.
Except when you do put the food into your mouth, it’s like heaven. So if you don’t care so much about service then this place is no problem at all. I would return (with someone else paying for me because it’s goddamn unaffordable lol) just because the food is so amazing, now that I’m prepared to serve myself and bring some form of entertainment having been through this experience.
It’s like all the staff there know how good the food is that customers very well would overlook the terrible service, so they just don’t give a shit about the service anyway lol.

Tsukune (chicken meatball)

Momo (chicken thigh) (right? It’s thigh, right?)

Toumorokoshi (corn)
These yakitori were so darn delicious. Not overly charred, juicy and tender meat, super on-point seasoning and heaven sauce.

Also ordered oyakodon because 3 yakitori can’t keep me alive overnight (I think).
It’s nicer than at most places, but it didn’t overthrow Ootoya’s (thank god because I don’t have to wait so long nor tolerate being ignored there). What it lacked (that Ootoya has) was the charred and smoky taste of the chicken and the near-raw eggs that I fell in love with. This one had a distinct hint of ginger too (I kinda very hate ginger) so lol you lose.

Oh but they have this egg drop chicken soup that came with the oyakodon and it’s really refreshing and clear and shiok. Maybe it’s a tactic to wash away the bad taste from their service.

Was really sian of studying one day so instead of going home to studying even more I went loitering around and took time to explore Tokyu Hands. So many awesome things that I just want to buy for no reasons. Thank god I do not have the luxury to do things like that. Ok, I still do things like that but with a budget LOL.
Look at that brilliant (and cute) rice strainer I bought!!!! There’s a bigger one for noodles but it’s more expensive so I’m like nope. I don’t even cook rice often and I intend to use it for my noodles, which I always drop into the basin trying to decant from the pot lol.

The tiger mask which did not show any instant results because my face was beyond hope going through projects and FYP and exams. Very fun though. $15 for 2. Oh my gosh, I really really need to know the prices of regular masks before I splurge unknowingly on novelties.

Fuwatoro tenshin han set at Osaka Ohsho. Took a very long time to decide what to order because everything was those safe, familiar food that I am always inclined to order. So I settled on one of their specialties.

The egg was really fluffy (as promised) but what the hell? It’s crazily overpriced for mere rice (wasn’t even very nice) and egg drenched in some starchy soup!! Even the kaki fuyong in school tasted better at half the price!! with chicken and extra chicken!!

But you should really eat their gyoza. They’re famous for them and of course when the skin is so crispy and the insides are just mmmmmmmmmmm ๐Ÿ™‚ I will go there and get the big plate of gyoza next time lol.

My absolute favouritest thing about Isetan Japanese fairs is the Hokkaido gelato pop-up stall.

Because there’s this heaven fruit flavour better known by its common name melon. Even on saddest of days this would cheer your soul up man. But of course I’m always happy (even if my face don’t show) somehow (maybe because I’m always eating stuff without guilt unlike the many stupid people everywhere who find eating a sin (how about you guys don’t eat and die and tell me about it)) so it just further makes me smile lol you’re welcome, soul.
Anyway, it was already there days before so that cone was a repeat visit.

See? I had the awesome thing when I first spotted it. I also cherish it more because it’s not always there.

They laughed at me when I went back for more right after finishing the first cone. But I tried the Yubari soft serve since I’ve never seen it before. Gelato wins still (for texture) although the soft serve had a slightly stronger taste.

Also realised that they put up my Ringo Work shrine only during CNY period (otherwise it’s always in limited quantities in secluded shelves) mostly because they have this GXFC hamper thing (that nobody ever buys for me although it has equal importance to me as angpows lol).

Also saw super cute Hello Kitty tea!! But the price is so… I’ll have water instead.

And while I’m no fan of microwaved food, I absolutely love (unfortunately microwaved) bentos and most of the time I visit Isetan at night so they’re usually discounted and lol yummy.

Oishii baby senbei balls (I always forget its name cos it’s so long) I love.
Ok, I checked. It’s called Kotsubukko. Trust me, eat this.

Clementi 881 coffee shop’s awesome duck rice.

Redring wanton mee without the wanton but with cutlet rice and char siew because these two are so yummy.

Also, I don’t like the new design of the Ben & Jerry’s pints. It’s not ugly but I prefer the old one.

Ootoya forever.

Grilled horse mackerel was not bad but smelled kinda fishy. Worst part was the billions of bones I had to pick out because I forgot that fishes are full of bones (mega hate) since I only reduce my fish intake to fillets. Took a super long time to eat it and my fingers were cramped from prolonged use of chopsticks. I took so long that I was the last customer before closing.

Bae chawanmushi ๐Ÿ˜€

Yummy peach parfait!! I only paid for the dessert because my loyalty card was filled with stamps and I was entitled to a free set meal!

First time I had the chicken pizza at Wala Wala. Really yummy although parts of the chicken bits were damn fat and ewww…

Truffle fries!! Their old menu potato stuff were so dry but it has all changed. With the sacrifice of the bae dory chunks, that is.

I honestly love the chicken hor fun at Makan Place. I’d go back to school when it reopens so that I can eat all these stuff.

Tried making tea jelly with English breakfast tea. Not as nice as with hojicha.

I wish for white bread to be banned from being sold in place of the pink and green one that’s meant to be there!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Watched Cats!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ My favourite songs are Mr Mistoffelees and Skimbleshanks, and they were both delivered so beautifully live! I thought Munkustrap and Rum Tum Tugger had super nice voices.

The lighting was amazing and at the beginning, when the cats all ran to the stage from the back, ONE OF THEM TAPPED ME ON THE SHOULDER AND STARED AT ME!!!!!! YES, AISLE SEATS AREN’T THAT BAD ANYMORE!!!!!
There was a run a few years back, perhaps 2002 or something, and when I saw the trailers I thought it was so creepy because I’m so afraid of cats (I still am, a little), but I knew nothing of the beauty of arts.
Practically no one around me had interests in arts because it’s viewed as those expensive, useless, no-future sort of thing. I yearned to learn piano and ballet and whatever everyone else was unhappily forced to learn by their parents as a kid, because I was genuinely interested but was never granted lessons. So now I’m this really useless person with no talent or support, who is encouraged to do something with my life (now that I’m an adult) but I have nothing I’m good at. Except maybe I’m funny and nice and friendly and (please fill in good impressions of me). Anyway, thank god I went to watch Wicked and now I so love musicals (they are so far beyond the quality of school productions).

Cabbed to West Coast Park after the show on very short notice to meet these people. MY FIRST MIDNIGHT SUPPER!!!!
It was also Wen Wei’s birthday and I knew. I wanted to wish him only before I left but I forgot -____- so I had to text. I’m sorry.

Because I spent $18 on transport, I couldn’t afford a meal LOL. But the twister fries with ice-cream pair beats any McMeal hands down.

Tenderfresh has a restaurant near school. It’s Halal. That is so important since one of my group mates is Muslim. I ate this same chicken penne on 2 consecutive days because it’s yummy and I didn’t know what to choose from its extensive menu.

The BBQ wings were so-so…

Met up with Marissa at Gastronomia before she left for Bandung to do some art stuff for a month.

Favourite salted caramel crodo!!

Soy latte! The coffee here is really good but slightly thin.

Slept over at Hazel’s the day before the FYP presentation, rehearsing and I don’t really know what we were doing staying over. I slept 4 hours, as usual. But we had the last slot (8th presentation) and I didn’t take a nap throughout because I’d wake up groggy and I wanted to watch the others.

We were almost late because the bus broke down on our way to school. So in desperation we hired 2 Uber Executives (they were the only ones available in the vicinity) and arrived in style (that is with the unnecessary expense of shitload of money) in Mercedes-Benz S-Class. We were carrying lots of stuff so I crawled in and out of the car clumsily. Hate pencil skirts.

I was the AV person because I was responsible for the slides (the clients loved it hahahahaha thanks a billion Keynote!!!) and when it was my turn, despite rehearsing perfectly an hour ago in a store room behind the lecture hall, I messed up for a while but I straightened up soon. Worst. Anyway, it was a terrifying experience and one of the first time I have slept so little in my life.

Saw this beautiful butterfly one morning. Think it just emerged from its cocoon. Nobody else noticed it though. Nobody notices things very much at all.

A security guard walked in on us taking selfies with the visualiser at a hijacked lecture hall. Because they had to lock it up at 8pm. We hijacked lecture halls every day closer to the presentation day because we had to rehearse. That was why I started hijacking classrooms to study in after this was over.

Clearance sushi at the supermarket.

Bolognese fries at school.

Hojicha kanten forever.

Best combo ever.

Very cute maneki Hello Kitty.

Found the whistle thingy at Daiso so I bought it again because I don’t know where my old one went.

Bought two dozens of Milo although I still had many at home because I could get a balloon.

Prata Planet taste better now than it did a few years ago!

Popcorn chicken from school. My friends didn’t even know school had them. And so yummy they were.

P1180251
P1180252
I bought myself a birthday cake from Japan online. I didn’t know online shopping has no limits anymore.
P1180271
I ordered the cake from Bunmeido at Rakuten!!!
P1180269
P1220276
I bought it because it was personalised and came with free shipping and it was $10 off at that point.
P1220272
The Castella cake arrived in about 2 weeks and would expire in about 2-3 weeks as well. That was way before my birthday then. LOL. So I ate it anyway. 2 people wished me happy birthday and I got such a kick out of it hahahahaha!!!

Cereal fish is the best thing mixed vegetable rice stalls at coffee shops can offer!! So delicious!!!!

School’s chicken hor fun really became an addiction of sorts.

Fruits prepared by Hazel’s mum when we stayed over to rush out a presentation for a project that was due the next day. Her mum picks the sweetest fruits ever!! I am honing my skills on that aspects lol.

Found these amazing faux leather culottes at Zara on sale!! I love them ๐Ÿ™‚

First time encountering the new menu at Wala Wala and had to try their truffle fries.

Caption was “What’s your horoscope sign?” “Kuih Bahulu.”
I thought it was hilarious!!!!! (I still do) (please laugh) (it’s funny)

Went out to buy dinner one day although I didn’t want to because I was studying or writing report. Really had so little time then but I had to go out. What’s worse, my mum tasked me to look for some goddamn nasi lemak that didn’t even have a shop there. She didn’t even know which coffee shop!! So I darted around 6 coffee shops pissed off as hell before I ran home. Cos it was so humid and I really needed to do my schoolwork and was so pissed off with all the people walking around me at snail speed!!! Was having a lot of difficulty breathing too so the moment I went home I crashed in front of a fan and turned on the aircon. Goddamn country. I’d rather spend the same hour taking an examination than go through that again.

Cup meat sauce fettuccine!! Actually was drawn to it by Pooh, then I realised it wasn’t regular cup ramen! Genius and simple design for draining water (and also the different adhesive for each half) is just so super thoughtful. 5 minutes and doesn’t taste bad at all! Definitely better than my (palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, there’s vomit on his sweater already) mom’s spaghetti. I think it was $3-4. It’s impossible not to worship the Japanese.
Accurate opinion from Instagram caption.

Giant pomegranate!!

When I got the book, I couldn’t read it yet because of schoolwork. I read it anyway and I’m still T____T because it’s sad and funny and so good!! For once, the movie follows the book exactly (except the ending, the movie brought it to a proper end that made me cry) and I think this is really what a good book and good movie should be: funny, sad, accurate, capable of messing up your heart. I just bawled when they took away the tree T_____T Go watch the movie, everyone!! You’re welcome.

Lynette was finally free to go out!! We went to have dinner at Yoshimaru, where she wanted to go since forever but she has a curfew!!

Tried the Madagascan vanilla cone at Sunday Folks and I didn’t like it. Flavour wasn’t strong and the dried flower chip tasted salty and sour, which I thought was like freeze-dried banana but rotten.

Had really terrible skin the whole of Year 3 because of internship and the overload of schoolwork and projects and FYP. This A* friend decided to be my concealer. Thanks brooooooo ๐Ÿ™‚

Met Marissa after Lynette left because I didn’t know Marissa was working that day!! Then chatted with her parents and then she went to get her fortune read. My skin… omg.
Anyway, both of them were wearing the same thing!!! Grey pullover over a white shirt and black skirt. As if Singapore wasn’t humid enough.

1 plain 1 egg at Prata Planet. Any place that makes decent plain and egg prata can win my heart.

Many times I went to Blooie’s Roadhouse for dinner with Hazel and Keyang, as they used to work there.

Seafood pizza. Normal.

Cajun chicken Caesar salad was not bad! The chicken was really good ๐Ÿ™‚

Ootoya. Again.

Egg was more overcooked than I’d like but still yummy.

Bae chawanmushi.

Anmitsu maccha was only $3 and so tasty!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Teacher was so adamant about having a video recording. And he only accepted submissions in hard copy. Most difficult and optional teacher to me ever. Bought a new printer too!

My favourite version of me is when I look at the price tags and ignore them, and load up on snacks for myself!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Spent extra money on Puccho because they came with Kumamon toys. Never thought they would turn out so disfigured.

I need a bento maker in my life.

Bought this onigiri from Isetan too and it was so yummy even though it was cold T___T I love Japanese food!

Loong Fatt Tau Sar Piah the king.

Plain Vanilla‘s always out of my favourite hazelnut cupcake so

salted caramel and

dark chocolate ganache.

Took food and culture as one of my elective modules. I really shouldn’t take something I love as a graded thing because it damages my relationship LOL. Should have taken forex so I can make money. Anyway, one of the assignment was a food trail. And we chose a damn difficult country to research on – Sweden.
P1080233
Went to Fika Cafรฉ as it’s the only Swedish establishment other than Ikea that we know exists in Singapore. Researching online was so tough because everything’s in a foreign language or they are just not enough information available. The relief teacher thought our group’s presentation was interesting.
Everything there was so overpriced.
P1080236
Champis is the first soft drink in Sweden. This one tiny can costed like $8 if I’m not wrong.
P1080223
Tasted like fizzy apple juice -____-
P1080225
Korvstroganoff is sausage stew with rice.
P1080227
Sausage was yummy. The salad dressing is so Idk??? Fermented???
P1080229
Just like this tunnbrรถdsrulle. Before the waiter could set this dish on the table, I was like omg what’s that stench. So I went nearer to the stuff and sniffed. Died. Of course I had to try it for the assignment but I didn’t go back for more.
P1080232
It’s a thin bread wrapped around sausage with Bostongurka. Bostongurka is the culprit of the smell and tasted like the kiamcai but worse. The rest got accustomed to the smell and thought it was acceptable after but I couldn’t feel the same even with one more bite.
P1080230
Kรถttbullar och potatis is basically the well-known meatballs with potatoes. Meatballs were damn good but remember I said this place is crazy expensive? You’d be better off at Ikea.
P1080234
Dessert is pannkakor med bรคr och grรคdde, which is pancake with cream and ice-cream but tasted more like crepes.

Bought Menicon Miru the day after I stumbled upon a little advertisement of it on a Japanese magazine. I checked out the lenses and was so impressed by the design and practicality of it, I bought it although I wasn’t a frequent user of lenses.
After trying it though, I wanted to sign up for membership but I have no money T___T and don’t use lenses often enough to have reasons to splurge like that T____T
It is so comfortable, many a times I forget that I’m wearing lenses and forget to remove them.

The design is so sleek and hygienic and so convenient to carry in my wallet in case I need improved vision. I love it. Please check them out.
I went to Paris Miki at Liang Court to get them and the staff there, especially Nisa, are by far the best service providers of all optometrists ever.

Roast chicken burger at The Rotisserie.

Prata Planet but uncle spilled curry on my prata ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

On New Year’s Eve, I had to go down to Brewerkz to take the videos for project. Yvonne so very kindly treated us to lunch although she didn’t have to.

Went to Starbucks to do up some work because I had time to kill before the countdown.
Liang Court’s atrium had some Japanese fair so on the way back from the restrooms, I went to take a look. And sampled some too because the staff gave me them.

These fuji apples were $6 each but so damn sweet and juicy T_T

Shizuoka mikans were at first sour but afterwards tasted like honey T_____T
I wanted to buy some but I wasn’t going home anytime soon so I cri.
I went to Robertson Quay looking for food. But as usual, nothing was going to open until dinner time. So I had to wait. I was also starving and late for the party. So I just went into the first restaurant I walked past that was already open because waiting 30 minutes would kill me right after I failed looking for a yakitori restaurant lol.
PC310211
Beef kaminabe at Sugisawa Japanese Restaurant.
PC310214
Yummy but it’s expensive T_T Probably because it’s dinner price T__T and the sad thing is that it’s not full of ingredients like other nabe dishes cos the paper is small or something T___T

Favourite pistachio loaded with massive amounts of pistachio chunks in the middle of the scoop (โ—•โ€ฟโ—•) Was thinking if I got run over by a car while crossing the road I’d cry not for my injury but for the loss of my ice-cream.
My Instagram captions are usually better than those on my posts. Ok, not always but they are real-time and accurate. I love Haato & Co. so much.
Then I went to Keyang’s house. As I’ve already had dinner, and everyone else was having theirs when I arrived, I fought using lightsabers with his youngest brother. It went on for 2 hours T____T I was never that tired the whole year I think T_____T But it was fun.

So I finally got a chance to rest when I sat down and played mahjong LOL.

Countdown with the TV. And drinking games. I joined Amirah with green tea LOL.
Then after the drinking games were over, we continued with mahjong until late. Tried to sleep at 3am or something but I was the only one who couldn’t get to sleep. We left when the first buses started operating. But we shared a cab to MRT stations convenient for us instead.
Of course, I was famished at 6am when my last meal was at 7pm.

Went to get myself a McMeal. And bought one more hash brown for the trip home. I really would have gotten 10 if they weren’t so expensive!!!

Loved this the instant I saw it. But I didn’t buy because I sensed a sale coming and it came a few days after. That’s when I bought it. Yay.

Roasted chicken crepe at Marchรฉ with Marissa. Yummy but small T_T Also, we were sitting in the dark T_T Cos it was very crowded and bad seats were all we have.

So I got one chicken wing to make up for the smallness of the crepe and the guy was like “I give you one for free” then I said I only wanted one and he said “never mind, just take it” so I thanked him. It’s normal. And it was late. Maybe the reason for his charity but I doubt so.

Awfully Chocolate. I hope they don’t ever change. I’ll be so devastated if their standards were to drop due to expansion.

Shabu shabu gyuniku ramen at Yoshimaru with Edna on very short notice.
Because I could get 2 bowls at the price of 1. I was just dialling everyone on my contact list, until Edna woke up and accepted my invitation LOL.

She gave me KitKats and unsheathed the peals of laughter buried within me.
Edna: I went to church and the pastor (I heard pasta) was like tsk-
Me: Why? Not nice?
Edna: He is like so aggressive…
OMG ;____; ROFL
Edna: eh this construction site… What are they building here sia
Me: *thoughtfully* oh I think it’s a building
;_____; omg laughters I miss because of stress in school.

Gyudon at Yoshinoya. Overheard a foreigner exclaiming outside Yoshinoya: “Wow! This is like McDonald’s but Japanese style!” ๐Ÿ˜€

This is the super delicious tiramisu Hazel made for me. I love it to bits ;___; It’s not even a biased judgment, it’s really damn bae.

My mum was like “Can I have 10 prawns?” because when it first came it came in a pair and she was like ?????? (She loves seafood and prawn especially lol)
PC240128
Making a reservation on hungrygowhere entitled me to a free plate of Wagyu beef. So fat till I had to pull off some bits before I ate them.
PC240130
Milk pudding.
Overall really yummy and affordable for a buffet I’d say.

Tried making lasagna but boiling it wrecked it like hell so it looked more like German pasta. T_T

XXL chicken from Shihlin.

Bae strawberry cheesecake parfait from Snaffles.

Cutest Gudetama stamps on Line Camera but they’re hard to use lol.
PC190089
Beef udon at good old Tamoya. I think it’s better to get the normal ones because it’s more economical and the broth isn’t too masked by the meat’s flavour.

PB264298
Frequented Brewerkz so much because we were doing a project on them.
PC180064
My favourite food of all time is this soba noodle salad with chicken. Everything is sooooo yummy in this humongous bowl!!! ;____; I loved it so much, I ordered it every time I had a meal there. Yes, so I didn’t really eat anything else other than the sides.
PC190072
Truffle fries were not bad! I literally love seeing potato skin on fries. They tend to be the best parts too ๐Ÿ™‚
PB264367
Was at the kitchen taking photos and omg this burger looked sooooo good!!!!! I still ordered soba salad lol I’m sorry it’s really so yummy.

Went to a charity gig at Blu Jaz Cafe.

Photo with Daphne Khoo!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

NATHAN HARTONO!!!!!! I’ve been loving this man’s voice since about 10 years ago!!!

Bought my dream mackintosh! The most expensive garment I’ve ever bought yet. Even though it was the cheapest one I could find online!!! And it was too big for me -___- But it’s ok.

Dimsum from Hong Ho Phang Hong Kong Tim Sum. So yummy!! Good chee cheong fun like these are hard to find now ๐Ÿ™‚

^_^

I love the Abacus workshop and I got a certificate ๐Ÿ˜€

Yup. You know where. But it’s my first time having lunch there.

So I got the Ootoya lunch set (which is also available for dinner), which is a pile of karaage and croquette and I’m not entirely sure. What I’m sure of is that it’s so yummy!! Literally everything the chef makes is a beautiful thing.

PC130051
Chapalang miso-tsuyu spaghetti with super yummy Tatsumoto pork sausage and surprise furikake. This #chefcasia is literally so chapalang. A little too salty but not bad ๐Ÿ˜€

One day they ran out of hor fun so I had to eat mee kia.

Maroon 5. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ๐Ÿ˜€

Sorry not sorry.
PC080048
Huge fan of One Piece who watches new episodes every Sunday and curses when it’s postponed. McDonald’s had this thing and I’m like !!!!! so I got many people to help me buy and I managed to only eat 1 meal completing the collection.
I put them up on the Christmas tree at my grandma’s and the week after, my aunt just kept them in some box with the tree and I’m like T____T

The first time I found these, I said I live in a well and didn’t know that school sells pizza fries but Grace was like I think i live at the earth’s core where is this FROM. Hahahaha I love Grace. Internet crush although we’re first real life acquaintances but the friendship never progressed further in the Outernet.

I can’t cry over spilled milk cos I don’t drink milk. But I spilled my darn cereals and it was so hard to wipe all the sugary bits off cos they’re naked to the eye T_T

Crammed hell a lot of Japanese in 12 hours over 6 weeks thanks to Yลko sensei who raps her lessons, so if we didn’t pay attention for just one second, we’d be lost forever. She said my handwriting was very pretty HAHAHAHAHA everyone kinda says that but it’s the normal hand???

Overslept on the day of my examination. Maybe cos I was scared that I’ll oversleep. So I did. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ After all, it was in the midst of the hellish semester in which I slept at 4am and woke as late as possible to make it in time for school every day. The morning paper was asking for it. T_T Completely deaf to my alarm.
Went to Menzo Butao for lunch after taking JLPT. All of us were like aiya die liao die liao maybe can’t pass. I got la but N5.
PC070044
Got the aburi chicken. It was mediocre.

Ordered a Gudetama luggage, which was supposedly sold in Taiwan. SO CUTE.

It’s a tamago nigirizushi!!!!!!!! The quality is terrible though. I have brought it overseas as a carry-on once and it was already scratched from god-knows-what! I can’t imagine having to check it in T_T

You’re probably bored of me eating here.

That is if you made it this far down this draggy and boring post.

Bought yumepirika and it is so delicious!! You really pay for the quality!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Eating this with tarako furikake is bliss.

Leftover rice for ochazuke is lazy bliss.

I miss my childhood so much. Especially those in Japan.

This cow plush. Not soft nor cuddly but I loved it all the same. Kids.

I love this boring as hell playground below the apartment! It’s so boring cos there’s like this slide and a seesaw and that’s pretty much it. It’s also stupid because everything is metal and then it was winter so it’s goddamn cold so max play was 5 minutes.

Miam Miam has terribly huge portions, I wish someone had warned me. My mum and I had to finish what was meant for about 5 people.
PB290006
Miam Miam spaghetti. Don’t remember how it tasted but I know it wasn’t much.
PB290002
Arrabiata was very salty.
PB290008
Caramelised banana pancake reminded me of After You Cafรฉ.
PB290010
Finally something delicious although I was stuffed from the pasta T_T
PB290015
Valrhona chocolate soufflรฉ was disappointing in comparison.

I bought FlashAir and everything’s great except for the unstable connection and ugly application UI.

Tested it out on some of my Tomicas since I could use the pictures for my show & tell for Japanese lessons lol.

The car that started it all ^___^

Also got new ones the day I ate at Miam Miam. I want to live in a Tentmushi!!! It’s so cute and cute and cute.

PB264392
Song Fa Bak Kut Teh was nice. Actually all bak kut tehs are more or less yummy. I still think Ng Ah Sio and Founder are my favourites.
PB264394
Taking this picture can either mean it was very nice or I gave up on taking photos of the others. I no longer recall what is true .____.

Saw this Singapore Poos and I laughed so loudly in the bus my friends told me everyone was staring at me. What’s new?

Had lasagna with meatballs at Gourmet Pizza to Go. Too much bรฉchamel for my liking and I didn’t like it very much at all.

This chicken hor fun at Harbourfront Centre’s food court was not bad. It’s also Halal.

McVitie’s Victoria diabetes.

When Don was in Tokyo, I asked him to get me Gelatoni, who was quite new then.

Story: Duffy dropped his gelato on the ground while taking a stroll with Mickey. Then Gelatoni appeared and told him it’s ok and introduced himself. Then he used the gelato to paint. And then they painted together.
That’s what I managed to read with my limited Japanese knowledge, aided with the illustrations. The story I first read online when it debuted sounded much more touching.

It’s so cute ๐Ÿ˜€

Toffee nut latte and they shouted Car ่™พ so loudly because I didn’t know it was me T_T

Calamari at Brewerkz for project.

Tried it with salmon and Hazel preferred it. I didn’t because it was so little and more expensive and not very flavourful on its own. The chicken was teriyaki-sauced and can be found in every other bite because they add chicken like it’s free ๐Ÿ˜€

Haato & Co. It’s now priced at those gourmet ice-cream prices. I remembered it to be much cheaper!!!

Hawaiian chicken thing at Breko Cafe. Without cheese.

Pistachio at Sunday Folks. Sorry for being boring.

I love cereal fish this much hahahaha ๐Ÿ˜€

This thing melted and stuck together but was so yummy!!!! Have no idea where it’s from but it’s some egg wafer coated in chocolate. Amazing!!!!

Mid-November and my complexion was this bad.

Bazhang from Daun Pandan Rice Dumpling. Yummy!!!!!!

Wasted an hour in lecture making this banana chocolate thing. I really don’t know why this teacher can be so strange. The funniest one was this ice-cream making thing before lecture. Took 1.5 hours to prepare everything before the shaking while he conducted the lecture. When you shake ice-cream in a bag of ice, it’s going to be really noisy right? He told us to shake the ice-cream non-stop and when we obeyed, he was like SHHHHH. What the.

School has this waffles and ice-cream place called Creamy Duck. What.

Hey Jude in my Lazy Oaf shirt.

I love origami.

Celebrated Marissa’s birthday at Hard Rock Cafe again. Before that, I went to Paragon to get her the Nutella cake again. Also 19 candles. I don’t think they put them all on it because it wasn’t as flaming T_T I walked the whole stretch in terrible rain T_T

Fish and chips

I love my face here hahahaha

Do I need to say where?

Kasan set!

Breaded chicken with vegetables in some broth. So good although I scalded my tongue T_T

My group planned on black and so did the other group -___- So it looked like a funeral.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

First time at Brewerkz to discuss about the project.

First time I fell in love with anything that has ‘salad’ in its name.

Hazel got really high from drinking and the cab ride home was so funny!! Uber driver also said we were his happiest customers ever!

Keyang was wearing this jacket with a detachable hood LOL and he detached it so LOL.
Anyway, I was later than my group in going to class then they told me that when they saw a figure behind them in the reflections, Hazel turned and screamed at me. Except it wasn’t me but some random stranger LOL!!!

School pasta with amazing meatballs that I never got to eat again because they were always sold out T_T

I love broccoli.

Fish & Co.

Went for the inaugural Hello Kitty Run because so cute!! It was supposedly 5km but ????? and it also rained and ran out of medals for the 15k turnout. Luckily I wasn’t those lazy asses who go to fun runs to fun walk.
Bought a towel for $15 and 5 minutes into running, it vanished. So I bought another after that because I’d rather buy a $30 towel than drop $15 on the floor lol.

This bunch of Japanese guys were sooooo cute!!! They made their own shirts for their corporation and followed the template of the given tee. It was SO cute!! And balloons around their waists!!!! But when they started running, a bunch of them tangled up and they were stuck together LOL!!!

Went to a workshop at school right after the run decked in my Hello Kitty jinbei. Everyone made fun of my jinbei. I literally don’t get it. It’s really nice. I’m still actively wearing it out because people always talk about the weird outfits I love anyway.

Yes

Katsu jyu

Delicious as always but I prefer the chicken one ๐Ÿ™‚

Peach parfait that was new on the menu. The banana parfait that was super good is no longer there T_T But this is nice too ๐Ÿ™‚

Chicken chop at Platypus Family Kitchen and the chicken was yummy!!

Hazel (Liem) got me a Hello Kitty EVA Air model ๐Ÿ˜€ I love it soooo much!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Farmer day LOL

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Had to send Sentosa photos for our membership card application so we agreed on doing this awkward smile. HAHAHAHA!

Our Sentosa Islander cards!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! We received free fun passes as well. It expired when we finally found time to have a day of fun after the major school stuff were over. Nerds. All work and no play. T___T

Always asking people to have a picnic on their gingham shirts and for the first time anyone entertained me LOL!!!!!
Thanks Seng Tiong. You’re my best bud.

Congratulations. You have made it to the end of this post. I took days to write it. I’m so glad it’s done. If you cheated and scrolled to the bottom (don’t know why you did it when you can just close it), then I understand you completely because I’d have left LOL. Thanks for reading and that’s all for my last memories of school.

Peacocks at Sentosa

Hello everyone (who is still reading my blog)(despite a hiatus suggestive of my passing)!!!
I have so much to blog about T_T and I don’t know where to begin T_T so I’ll just shove some pictures I took of some peacocks at Sentosa some time back, just to let everyone know that I’m free now!!!

I believe it’s my first time seeing a peacock fanned out, by the way.

I was actually out about the island looking for candidates to do a survey for our final year project. Actually, I could have been out for a site recce. I’m not sure anymore. This all seem too distant.
Anyway, at Siloso Point I caught sight of peacocks up close and one of them fanned out. So I had to halt whatever I was doing since I brought my camera with me that day. Thank god.

Peacocks are great.

Ok, so I just returned from my Hat Yai trip that I am very excited to blog about and am thinking of creating a video of.
But, I also have tons of stuff from the past 3 months to share: lots of food, USS trip, Swedish food tasting for an elective module, fun run that I signed up for and shocked a million people, I don’t even know what else I have…

I spent the whole of today laying in bed with a sore back (honestly, the hotel bed for the 3 nights in Hat Yai was like stone with a mattress protector, I felt like a pampered lion sleeping on a cushioned plateau) and a headache, occasionally looking through the pictures and videos I took and feeling lost about how to resume blogging.
I finished my last paper of polytechnic last week, and the day after I had to go have reunion lunch and the next day was CNY and then the next day I was travelling. I couldn’t possibly waste my trip sleeping when there’s so much to see!
So for a whole week I couldn’t hibernate like I’d hoped to T_T

I’m literally so exhausted from school T____T
When I was a toddler I cried because I couldn’t go to school yet. Man, I have no idea what I was in for…
Polytechnic has changed me. For the worse. I am now a total slob.
A few years ago, I used to be someone who rise at 9am to go to town before noon to enjoy nothingness before meeting friends past noon. I was never late. Ever. In fact, I was always an hour early.
Now, if I’m lucky I’ll be on time and on rare occasions I’ll be 10 minutes early. Anything too early, I’ll just not give a damn and be late without a care. (Ya, I cared a lot before, like I cried the few times I was late for school.)
I was really repulsed by one lecturer in the last semester of year 3, I literally slept through all but one of his tutorials to ease my life, never listened in all his lectures as hard as I tried to pay attention, and only ever did one tutorial.
Sounds like I’m describing someone else, but much to everyone’s horror, it’s me.
But even with such a terrible attitude, I managed a good score for the common test (thanks Casia, I can always count on you) and I’m just hoping the same sort of miracle happens for my finals.
I was so distracted from studying I really had to adopt the yolo thing I once thought was stupid.
But sometimes you get so hopeless yolo is the only way.

Ok I’m tired…
Goodnight!!!!
I’ll do the video tomorrow (hopefully) and write a post on Hat Yai real quick so stay tuned!! ๐Ÿ˜€

ChunkFest 2014 & the weekend

4 October, I met Lynette at Orchard at noon for lunch and shopping before heading to the grass patch of Marina Bay.

Bought some eyeshadows (341, 357, 329) from Inglot because I felt like it T_T
Takashimaya had a Japan Travel Fair and I am not one to miss stuff like these.

Some hokkaido soft serve for $2! ๐Ÿ˜€
Very milky and in a very small portion ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Yummy nonetheless.

They were selling bentos!!!!
This shinkansen bento is only $8 and comes with a bottled drink AND A TOY OMG ^___^
Then we took a bus and made our way to Gardens by the Bay.
On a bridge en route to The Meadow, we spontaneously planted our asses on the planks and had a picnic .___.

The bento’s packed by Tampopo Deli!
The rice and chicken is goddamn yummy T_T, but half of the sides were not so yummy T_T
Thank you for giving me a toy to redeem yourself T_T

It’s a maneki neko and inu hariko ;___;
Apparently the collection has a sukiyaki and sake set too and I want it T_T
I love capsule toys T_T
Why am I crying non-stop on this post T_T LOL T_T

So then Lynette and Danish had media passes and free ice-creams (unlimited) goddammit T_T
But we benefitted too because they gave us the coupons for free scoops ๐Ÿ˜€

Tried Scotchy Scotch Scotch and White Russian.
Not much comment for the former but White Russian is SOOOOOOO YUMMY!!
Wish it’d stay put in Singapore.
Thought ChunkFest was kinda terrible because the venue was so muddy after the morning rain!
They also didn’t have a wide array of merchandises for purchase, nor was it prominent in the whole area.
I didn’t even buy any faircoins!

I did have fun, though, playing this nonsensical sumo thing with Lynette.
Suits were smelly as hell but after this I felt a need to own a set myself (just for the sake).

There was a video of me winning LOL… They weren’t strict on the rules anyway, they just wanted people to get in and be fools HAHAHAHA

Then there was a cat named Coco or Cocoa or something like that.

It’s the fluffiest and softest cat I’ve ever touched.
Also this cat is the best form of a pet ever: doesn’t touch you but lets you touch it.

Do you believe I’m afraid of cats lol…

Left after a while because Joe was being a bitch and blaming me for bringing him to that hellhole that required us to pay for ice-cream.
He thought ChunkFest was like Free Cone Day!
We walked from Gardens by the Bay all the way to Dhoby Ghaut. Ghautdammit -___-
Afterwards, my legs were aching and there were no place I could sit after we parted.
Walked to Somerset to meet Lynette for dinner.

Thought I’d bring her to Ootoya because she had wanted to eat there last time.
There is this curse that ensures food to not be satisfactory every time it’s under my recommendation.
She ordered my favourite oyako jyu at this outlet I’ve not patronised.
It came with eggs so done I felt so sorry I brought her here T_T

Ordered miso tonkotsu and some of the pork was really tough T_T
I was so disappointed with this branch T_T (or the said curse T_T)
Even the gokoku rice wasn’t as nice T_T
Oh ya, the miso tonkotsu had a really long name on the menu, so much so I gave up while reciting it to the waitress HAHAHAHA!
It was something like ‘deep fried breaded pork loin cutlet in miso sauce’ or something like that and after the third word I just told her “aiya, you know what I mean!” because it was the only item on that page LOLOLOL

On Sunday, I went to my first concert ever.

Who would’ve thought it’d be a Chinese concert.

Everyone was thinking this was a getai because it looked like a very extravagant getai T_T
There were Hokkien songs too! -____-
Anyhow, I went there with no expectations of being entertained because WHAT DO I KNOW ABOUT CHINESE? LET ALONE THE SONGS???? FOR THE OLDER GENERATIONS???
Turns out I was quite wrong.
I did know about half the songs sang. I could anticipate the lyrics (somewhat) involuntarily and hit jackpot when they sang the line.
I don’t know for sure how that is possible when I can’t form a line of the verses even if I tried.
Really funny too how one was singing a song and suddenly blurted out that she forgot the lyrics, then continued with the song LOL!
Another lady was speaking and then she was attacked by thirst so she went to get a bottle and she kept hesitating for no reasons and was so flustered about it HAHAHAHA!
So this guy called Su Yong Kang was the last act.
Everyone loved him and I don’t even know who he was.
He began by asking if he should sing an English song too, as did the rest.
There’s a guy shouting “ไธ่ฆ๏ผ” (“NO!”) for all four times he asked LOL and then the singer heard someone requesting for him to speak in Cantonese and there was a roar of applause so he did.
I understood nothing. I have heard before every song he sang. I don’t know to be proud or ashamed LOL.
Then he descended the stage to shake hands with the audience.
He must have regretted taking a selfie with one of them because everyone started getting up for a photo with him.
Then everyone, even those far from where he was mingling, started to prepare for the opportunity by rushing to the aisle where he was walking.

What you see here isn’t even the worse yet.
It was a mess and I kept on laughing, confused as to whether this was a concert or a stand-up comedy.
His last song was a really popular one (I’ve heard it SO many times) and my mum said this was a song not many people can sing, and he could.
When he announced his last song, this dramatic guy in my view (he was so dramatic the whole duration of the concert, I looked his way too many times) shouted “YES!!!!! YES!! YESSSSSSS!!!!!” with his arms in the air OMG!
And he proceeded to sing along really dramatically OMG.
Yea, that’s all about my first concert experience.
I hope Arctic Monkeys would come soon. T______T

Had this kway teow thing at PappaRich before the show.
Not bad!

Went to AMPED Trampoline Park on Monday.
$15 for an hour of jumping (with tons of restrictions), wasted on getting really tired and spending most time slacking.

Before that, for lunch I had duck rice at Sin Fong Restaurant while everyone else had kway chap.
It’s not bad but I reside so close to a better duck rice.
Went to Old Airport Road Food Centre for dinner.

Had really delicious chee cheong fun from #01-155!
Got chicken and mushroom because prawn and char siew were sold out.
These are so yummy, I haven’t had any so yummy since the one at Marsiling Lane Block 20 closed down!
This is to say, the chee cheong fun at Far East Plaza is a whole level below this.

Also had wanton mee from Hua Kee (#01-02)!
A different taste from that of Wei Ji’s at Chinatown but I’d say it’s on par.
There were so many recommendations for this hawker centre, I wanted to eat everything T_T
I think this confirms that I always appear to be sharing a table with my friends rather than eating with my friends because I always eat something of my own selection rather than share a bunch of food .____. what.

Yesterday was spent on my bed lying around reading a book or playing Puzzle Bobble because the few minutes of jumping gave me an intense body ache and a laziness I couldn’t shake off…
It remained today so I have spent no more than 4 hours away from my bed in these 36 hours or so LOL.

Last Thursday I went to Chinatown for dinner with Jia En and Yuxuan! ๐Ÿ˜€

Weeee…
There were more food but they left to get their individual meals after I got mine…
So I was alone with all these food .___.
Twice, people came to ask the location of the xiao long baos! HAHAHA ๐Ÿ˜€

I miss my friends T_T

Lul

Last Wednesday I made amazing hojicha kanten jelly!
Wanted to remake it the next day because I finished the whole batch -___-
I did remake it but it was SO humid, my sweat dripped into the mould while I was pouring them in, despite vigorously mopping my forehead with a handkerchief the whole time I was cooking.
I have yet to chuck it, but I ought to, soon, but I have no desire to touch it LOL.

Also made half-boiled eggs and seasoned them for about only 2 hours.
Dinner comprising instant tonkotsu ramen and the half-assed ajitama…
So darn yummy! The hefty price tag is really worth it!
I doubt I’d ever buy non-Japanese instant noodles.

AND I JUST BOUGHT A JINBEI.
Costed me about $45 from Rakuten T_T but I want more T_T

Ok bye ๐Ÿ˜€

River Safari & Roadhouse

Photo 30-9-14 12 42 22 am
Hello!
Went to River Safari yesterday to celebrate Michelle’s birthday!
Photo 30-9-14 12 42 43 am
This boat was really hot under the noon sun it could fry an egg (serious)!!
Photo 30-9-14 12 44 02 am
We were about to enter when someone stopped us for a photo but we handed our camera over and they couldn’t make our money…
Anyway, I thought this zoo was neat because it had a proper route so we could see stuff as we go without missing areas like the other zoo.
BUT the boat ride was closed for maintenance goddammit ๐Ÿ˜ก
Photo 30-9-14 12 45 58 am
Used Jun Yang’s camera at times because he had an amazing prime lens!
LOOK AT THAT DEPTH OF FIELD!!!
I didn’t bring mine because I KNOW from experience that I wouldn’t like all if not most of the pictures I took…
But his camera was great… I need a prime lens T_T

Posting only pictures that I took ok, so this isn’t stealing.
(Yes, I remember which were those I took) (sexy brain aye)

One of the firsts living and trapped creatures we saw at the enclosures.
This was taken with my phone and throughout it will be very distinct which photos came from where with the vast difference in aperture ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Anyway, the actual first creature we saw was an otter, which swam close to the glass.
Michelle was gazing at it in close proximity when it shat right in her face.
I watched as its dung was expelled with air bubbles, lumpy and looking somewhat like a muddy mutant raspberry on steroids, which was then scattered into little balls when the otter somersaulted and whacked its poop with its massive oar of a tail.
What a birthday gift!
Photo 30-9-14 12 44 25 am
Some fish…
I didn’t read the labels much.
I don’t usually do because it would take much too long for everything and I didn’t want to be stranded lol (since 1995)
Photo 29-9-14 8 42 17 pm
Photo 29-9-14 8 42 35 pm
Then as we approached the monkeys there were many excited visitors around because there was a monkey perching on a branch close to the glass and in a very unobstructed view AND carrying its little baby!
Photo 30-9-14 12 47 20 am
It was sticking its fist into its mouth, much like human babies O.O
Photo 30-9-14 12 46 50 am
Also sucking its thumb, much like human babies O.O
We are indeed primates.
Photo 30-9-14 12 47 44 am
I LOVE HIS CAMERA T_T

Photo 29-9-14 1 03 57 pm
Some bird… crane?
(I really should read labels, shouldn’t I)
Photo 30-9-14 12 48 19 am
I have never in my life taken zoo pictures half as good as these.
Photo 30-9-14 12 48 29 am
Photo 30-9-14 12 48 53 am
Even if they were underexposed.

The panda enclosure felt like China in winter what with the bamboos and perfect temperature and all LOL.
Photo 30-9-14 12 51 31 am
A red panda on twos because it was feeding time LOL!
Photo 30-9-14 12 52 13 am
So cute ^_^
Photo 30-9-14 12 57 56 am
Kai Kai idling…
Photo 29-9-14 1 23 23 pm
with its poop…
Photo 29-9-14 1 21 37 pm
without Jia Jia because apparently she’s shy and in her den and only visible on a screen through a live feed.

Photo 30-9-14 12 46 18 am
Bullseye catfish or something.
Glanced at its label but I’m not entirely sure if that’s what it is.
Photo 30-9-14 12 48 16 am
Shot this picture and it looks like some aquarium advert! HAHAHAHA
Photo 29-9-14 1 34 02 pm
INUKA THE POLAR BEAR!!
Photo 29-9-14 1 33 41 pm
Finally an active animal! ๐Ÿ˜€
Photo 29-9-14 1 34 29 pm
How it is related to a “river”, I’ll never know.
Photo 29-9-14 1 34 30 pm
It was swimming around in a repetitive course with a kick-off at the glass.
Very cute ๐Ÿ˜€

Photo 29-9-14 8 48 24 pm
Beneath us was a panda figure lol…
Photo 29-9-14 8 53 14 pm
Photo 29-9-14 8 53 16 pm
Bridge hogging!
Photo 30-9-14 1 12 05 am
Photo 30-9-14 1 12 24 am
Mooning HAHAHAHA

This trip ended really quickly so we headed to Wimbly Lu for a snack.
It was closed.
So we ended up at Sunday Market.

A really bad picture of the skinny wings and truffle fries.
Not bad…
The others had some other food but I don’t know what they were.
Afterwards, we went to Dempsey Hill too early for dinner.
They played around until the shop opened -____-

Dinner was at Roadhouse!
Photo 30-9-14 1 41 26 am
Built my own burger!

This is more true to colour because white balance wasn’t set well or something.
Photo 30-9-14 1 42 08 am
Chicken thigh + romaine lettuce + caramelised onions + mozzarella + BBQ sauce and fries!
Very yummy ๐Ÿ˜€
Also clean to eat because it cuts down without its insides falling everywhere.

Ordered a s’more ice-cream cake for myself because I felt like it.
Quite yummy but $12 is an absolute rip-off.
Photo 30-9-14 1 43 33 am
Michelle’s sticky date pudding.
I’ve never had one in my life and I don’t think I’d intend to.
No reason…
Photo 30-9-14 1 43 37 am
What is Michelle so happy about?
LOL Leslie’s taken! LOL

Went home and collapsed on the bed in fatigue and woke up at 11.30pm or so!
Was really tired after and I spent some time using my laptop and FaceTiming Amanda in Maldives and reading bits of a book and eventually giving in to my sleep-deprived soul.
Woke up at 4.30pm or so and after idling a while, I went to cook instant noodles!

Tsukemen and natchan! ๐Ÿ˜€
It’s so yummy albeit plain as hell without any other ingredients! ๐Ÿ˜€

I love natchan still โค
Not really yummy but it smiles at me ๐Ÿ˜€
Ahhhhhhh all these packagings T____T

Had beer-battered fish n chips at Fisherios for lunch on Saturday!
The prices are higher now…

Bought the November 2014 issue of Vogue Japan because the cover shoot was so gorgeous!!!
Also got a copy of The Little Prince in Japanese in attempt to improve my Japanese.
Not reading it any time soon because I borrowed a few Haruki Murakami books from Marissa and I’m really slow with reading it because I have been watching some anime and Fruits Basket is super nice! Funny and sad and all that…

Mummy bought baumkuchen from Juchheim!!
Always wanted to try some but I never did.
Mummy sampled some and so did I and it is beautiful and she bought the plain one and the chocolate one.
The chocolate one is kinda meh compared to the plain one ๐Ÿ˜€
I LOVE IT ๐Ÿ˜€

Bought lots of stuff from Meidi-ya preparing for the apocalypse.

And really yummy suupaa sushi too!
Nibbled some of the salmon sashimi mummy got for herself and it was yummy but I’m still scared of eating it.
LOL I shall try again.
All these were paid with gift vouchers she got from her ex-colleague.
Bae.

Meidi-ya had 1-for-1 Hokkaido soft serve and I got the melon one and โค โค โค I LOVE IT โค โค โค
^_______^

On Thursday, I mailed a parcel to Amanda in Maldives because she was asking me to send her food and so I sent her some instant noodles and Koala's March and some tea.
Now that I think of it, I sent really really little food, it might even be disappointing.
But that was all I had at home at that time!!
Had dinner at my favourite Ootoya and made it a point to try something new!

Chawanmushi that came with the set.
I still think this is really unimpressive given that everything else has NEVER disappointed me.

Moromi chicken!!
I’ve wanted to try this out because it sounded good.
It does taste good!
Moromi miso was so yummy with the super tender chicken, I wished the serving was larger T_T

Ordered white rice but came was gokoku rice.
It’s brown rice with barley and sesame and corn or something like that.
Who would’ve known the rice was so goddamned delicious T_T
I really love Ootoya T__T
I want to eat at Ootoya every day T___T
Or marry someone who can cook foods like Ootoya’s or something T____T

Very yummy miso soup T___T
I want to go to Japan again T______T
And seeing Don backpacking in Japan now… GRINDS MY GEARS T___T

Ok, that’s about it!
Can’t wait for ChunkFest ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€
(Really just the merchandises lol)

Legoland Malaysia

Bonjournal: Legoland

While I was in Malaysia without the Internet the whole day, I did some offline mini-blogging at Bonjournal to keep track of happenings I couldn’t post on Instagram.
Quite a nice app to use with a very simple and beautiful interface but it sometimes distracts me from actually doing stuff while I’m out and about.
Not sure if I’d use it for my next travel but I really like the PDF compilation you see above.
My journal does lack a lot of information because I didn’t have pictures to accompany it and I didn’t want a text-only post.
So, a more wordy repost here!!!!!

Yesterday, I went to Jurong East to take a bus to Malaysia!
God knows when the last time I was there was.

Went to Isetan Supermarket to get me some sushi and a packet of Ringo Work for breakfast!! ^__^
Expensive as hell T_T
I was the second customer to enter Isetan too LOLOL :>

Boarded buses and went through customs and all that…

And we got to Legoland!
Reason we were all on this outing is because Yong Chin had free tickets ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€
I think we took all the roller coasters!
Dragon’s Apprentice was smaller than The Dragon but it was scarier than the bigger one!!
Nothing here was near to as scary as those in Dreamworld though…
Hazel was really scared of roller coasters and didn’t want to take them at all but after the first, she went on everything and sometimes multiple times HAHAHAH ๐Ÿ˜€
Lunched at the King’s Grill but I ordered the common kids meal of nuggets and fries.
The fries were crap but the nuggets were unexpectedly yummy???

The water rides were the fun ones, in my opinion.
Unlike many, the ones here actually drench the hell out of you, even if you were covered.

Dino Island was really boring during the start but the drop was steep enough and the splash was humongous I LOVE IT ๐Ÿ˜€
My shorts and shoes were soaked -___-
Really fun so we didn’t leave the car and went on a second round ^___^
Except Ke Yang who claims that he dares to take water rides because his heart can take it… but left after the first, where he kept exclaiming that his balls were shrinking HAHAHAHHA ๐Ÿ˜€
The other fun one was AQUAZONE Wave Racers!
Goes really quickly and it’s scary cos you might fly off cos there were no belts or anything!!
It would’ve been better if they built each car nearer to the others so when you drift you actually splash people T_T
Wanted to go to Boating School too but the weather was fluctuating and they closed it temporarily… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Before we left we went to the Big Shop to build our own figurines!

Really tough finding bits from a very limited selection around the table…
Finally found a decent sexy body for my sexy turban Lego man after I found this kid building an army of figurines that he probably isn’t going to buy so I took it (I asked ok I’m like really polite and civilised and all)!!!
About S$3 for this ^__^

Went to wait for the bus back but we had so much time before the bus comes so Hazel and I went to the empty space behind the bus stop to be nonsensical LOLOLOL

Just some!
Props to Michelle and Jolene for taking the photos ๐Ÿ˜€

Before long we were at City Square for dinner!
Apparently the Japanese restaurant they intended to go to were under renovation or something so we ended up at Arashi Shabu Shabu!
It was goddamn cheap because they were like Singapore’s price BUT IN RINGGIT!!!!
Like S$1 = RM2.50 OMGMMGMGMGMGMGGGGGG!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€
Then Yong Chin said it was his mom’s treat so erm… this whole trip was nearly totally sponsored???
HAHAHAHAHAHA GOD BLESS

The best thing about this place is the individual pots because you get to choose whatever broth you want!!! ๐Ÿ˜€
I chose miso .__.
Shared the seafood mix combo set with Hazel and ordered meat a la carte!
Quite yummy la ๐Ÿ˜€
The crab balls and meatballs were OMG juicy and totally awesome!

Ok then we went home!
THE END
LOL

Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen

Hello!
Was busy meddling with my blog theme so I put off blogging and now I have so many to blog about T_T
Ok I’ll do this reverse chronologically… so the title won’t make sense until halfway.

Friday I had Isetan’s bento for late lunch because I craved for it.
Went to Westgate to check out Tokyu Hands but turns out I didn’t much like it because it was too small and crowded.
Watched If I Stay and while the story is nice and all I think the movie wasn’t super good. Have yet to read the book though…

Went to Wala Wala for chicken wings with the Randolf Arriola fan club LOL
But guess what?
They left 40 minutes before his last performance cos they didn’t like his songs that day?????? -___-
And then they stood outside for super long without any plans (told y’all not to leave???) so I just went home.

Anyway, I tried the new (quite old now) core series and Hazed & Confused is so yummy!!!

On Wednesday went to Chinatown to find Jia En with Yong Chin and Jun Yang.
IMG_4419
Chicken porridge from Tiong Shian Porridge Centre again!
After her hour’s break, we parted and I was stuck with the two most aimless people I now know…

Got lost a little, then did nothing for a long time and then ended up at Suntec City.
Where I separated halfway cos I don’t know where they went so I went shopping!
Bought nothing except ice-cream -___-
IMG_4424
Dulcet & Studio for dinner!
IMG_4425
The usual black pig bolognese because I have no propensity to try new stuff on the menu lol…
IMG_4444
Also bought 5 cakes and 1 cream puff home LOL!!
Because I had a $50 mall voucher and didn’t know what to do…
IMG_4427
Mini cream puff $2
Let my mum eat it cos I’ve had it before.
IMG_4433
Peach chiffon $7
This wasn’t nice ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
IMG_4431
Strawberry shortcake $7
Yummy like always ๐Ÿ˜€
IMG_4432
Kyoho grape chiffon $7
Yummy but sort of strange…
Anyway I have the same sort of grapes (not entirely sure though) at home I should eat them soon.
IMG_4440
Fruit scoop cake $7
Yummy still and the orange slices were especially juicy and sweet then ๐Ÿ˜€
IMG_4439
Chocolate cube $8
Was yummy but one side was marred by the packer’s strange choice of arrangement ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Tuesday’s midnight snack was Nissin’s CQYD instant noodles!

Sesame oil flavour and Japan-made and it is the best instant noodles I have ever had O.O
The noodles were springy and chewy and the broth is so tasty omg???
Are they all like this or only those Japan-made ones that cost no less than $2.50 per packet?
Also hardly cooked my egg and it was yummy O.O

Also received my box of Liberty note cards! ๐Ÿ˜€
Bought this for the box but now I don’t know what to do with them cos they’re so pretty and I don’t want to use them .___.

Monday night was dinner with some who were leaving for NS and Amirah in a dress.
Also, dropped my outerwear without knowing and took me a good half an hour or so to realise.
Turns out Michelle saw it on the floor where I dropped it and said absolutely nothing LOL เฒ _เฒ

Brought everyone to Fisherios Fish n Chips for yummy fish n chips!
IMG_4416
Got the mixed platter set that comes with beer-battered fish, breaded fish, nuggets, calamari and chips!
Very very filling and I still find that the fish is super yummy ๐Ÿ˜€

Got chocolate ice-cream at Fivไบ” Tapas Bar where everyone else was drinking beer.

Had a sleepover at Amanda’s without anyone (except Hilary) sleeping to send her off to Maldives the next morning!
Played mahjong most of the time after the steamboat!

Defenders of Changi Airport HAHAHAHAHAHA

Looking like I’m the one leaving (by accident) :/
Oman T_T I miss all my friends T_T so many of them are interning now T_T

And this one I can’t meet till March or something because I can’t afford tickets to Maldives, can I? (not yet, at least)
She tried to be sad and wiped at her eyes (they were completely dry I swear) before leaving.
Crystal was also crying like hell…
I don’t know why you guys are crying??? You guys are going to MALDIVES???? For 6 MONTHS????
More like hallelujah sweet Jesus???
Ok, so Lynette wasn’t allowed to stay overnight so she went home with the intention of returning the next morning.
She overslept and only reached 10 minutes AFTER Amanda, Crystal and Tabithan went to the departure hall.
Hilary, Nicholas and I went to McDonald’s for breakfast because we were starving and then Lynette came to join us and started crying cos she didn’t see Amanda off.
Then I burst out laughing and she whacked me OMG!
I swear she can look like a very gentle and kind-hearted person but when she attacks it hurts like hell LOLLLLLL!!!!
I kept telling her to FaceTime Amanda because they are still waiting to board the plane but she’s like NOOO NOOOOO and bawling her eyes out LOL…
Then I FaceTimed Amanda and found out she started to cry because Lynette cried HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Ok then loitered around Changi Airport with Lynette after breakfast!

Had gelato at Gelataria Italia in the morning…
What’s new when we go out together hahahaha!
Ok then I went home and collapsed…

Woke up to go to Liang Court for dinner ^_^
Went to Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen!

T___T I miss Japan

Hot stone fried rice
Quite yummy but I couldn’t fully enjoy it from how stuffed I was because we had way too much food for two!!!

Shoyu ramen was yummy and I liked the bean sprouts ^_^

Ebi fry and gyoza which were nothing special…

Kazan kaisen-shio ramen
Looks great but I’m not big on seafood so I don’t know…?
Tasted the broth and it’s good T_T
Should have gotten the kazan shoyu ramen instead of ordinary shoyu ramen because the place is named after their volcano ramen and if I don’t eat it then what am I doing .___.

This Emoda bag I pre-ordered took a month to get to me after I was just a few seconds late in buying it when it was launched.
Set my eyes on them ever since I saw Ena carry it in her pictures.
Love everything about the bag!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€
Except the smell… I’ve been bringing it out for a week and the newish smell is still there ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Also kinda worried the straps might give way because the kind of things that goes in my bags are always goddamn heavy for some reason??

Last Friday I went to Marina Bay Sands.
But first, I went to Orchard since I had to transfer buses anyway…

Of course to get myself a capsule Tomica!
Got the red Fairlady that I wanted ^_^
Was really early so I went to HY California for a snack.
IMG_4413
Their mains sounded so good but I wasn’t very hungry T_T
Not hungry enough to blow $40 on a midday meal T_T

Truffle potato (ใƒปโˆ€ใƒป )
IMG_4415
It’s alright…
What I thought was a small portion for $12 before taxes nearly killed me.
So darn full afterwards ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

I was still early so I headed to Zara to shop a little…

AND FOUND THIS AMAZING OVERALL FOR $19.90!!!!!
It fit however slightly big but it was the only one left so I took it ( ใ€€๏พŸ,_ใ‚๏พŸ)

Don’t have a full-length mirror so I kinda died taking this picture แ•ฆ(รฒ_รณห‡)แ•ค
Then also realising that my leg is removable…
Ze Ling said I looked like a “centower” and I couldn’t understand and he sent a picture of a CENTAUR.
CENTOWER. Bless my friend.

Drum TAO: Seventeen Samurai at the Sands Theatre!! ๐Ÿ˜€
Wonderful show!!! Music, costumes, synchronicity and all…
Really hilarious too, even without speech! ๐Ÿ˜€
If it comes next year I wanna go watch it again (๏ฝกโ™ฅโ€ฟโ™ฅ๏ฝก)

Last Wednesday I went to Michelle’s house to learn mahjong and erm… get assaulted by her dog.
Normally I’ll be ok with dogs, but this one kept barking at me and kept licking me T____T
And it kept looking for me T_T
Never in my life have I ever said so many “NO!”s in a day T___T
That’s what they all told me to do so the dog would leave me alone.
It did, for a while, before coming back to disturb me T_T
why (*ยดะด๏ฝ€*)
Ok then we went to Changi Airport to see Fiona and Adeline off to Phuket!

Just me looking like I’m the one flying. All the time.
When in reality I’m the most pathetic person who hardly gets to travel .__.

One day I was talking to Yuxuan and then she said she couldn’t draw her brows properly.
But when the morning came, she could because she was in a hurry.
So I came up with an idea for her to draw her brows the night before on tape, then stick them on in the morning! HAHAHAHA!

I tried to demonstrate how it follows actual brow movements to convince her.
HAHAHA very nice!
Thing is, I don’t need it because I do have brows (โ—กโ€ฟโ—กโœฟ) *toss hair*
Didn’t sleep that night because insomnia .__.

Also cooked yummy egg sandwich for breakfast.
It was so good I ctrl+c ctrl+v for another.

Last Saturday, last last Saturday?
I don’t know… it’s the last day of Singapore Night Festival 2014.
I went to Orchard to relax, read a book, wait around.

That was where I discovered capsule Tomicas!

Not much details but they were sooooo cute!!
Michelle came and I was like “do you wanna buy me a car?” and she just said OK and bought me a car.
(โŠ™ใƒฎโŠ™)
Fiona came and I tried it again and she was like NO??? IT’S SO UGLY???? but then she bought me a car too.
(โŠ™ใƒฎโŠ™)
Oh ma gosh guys (โŠ™ใƒฎโŠ™)

^____^ โค

Band of Doodlers had boards up for people to doodle on and ๐Ÿ˜€
I didn’t because I can’t draw much ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Then we all went to queue for The Cloud of Unknowing!

Randolf Arriola!
How terrible Fiona’s first encounter of his music is live sound effects and not covers and she’s completely lost trust in my taste in music.
But then again, hardly anyone likes the songs I listen to anyway… (not that I know of)

Really cool display of a film with live music and special effects.
Don’t really get the story though.
I really liked the crazy trance music and strobe lights towards the end.
They all hated it (and to think they are the ones who worship clubbing).
And after we left, everyone looked at me and told me never to bring them to artsy stuff like that ever again.
Fml, I need new friends.

Ok, that’s about it!
Can’t wait for Friday because fun fun fun fun lookin’ forward to the weekends!

Fisherios Fish N Chips

Hello! ๐Ÿ˜€
You know why I’m blogging another post when it’s already 4.30am?
Because I can’t sleep -___-
I literally got up at 4.30pm because I slept at 10am -____-
Ok I’ll talk about yesterday (?) later…

On Wednesday I had dinner at Fisherios Fish N Chips, the one at Takashimaya’s basement!!!
Why I’m not blogging it in order is because I want it to be the first image lol…
IMG_4399
COS THIS BEER-BATTERED FISH N CHIPS IS SO YUMMY!!!!!!!
Shared this with Yuxuan although it’s a good portion for one and at only $7.90! ๐Ÿ˜€
Normally fish n chips are so huge and makes me want to die after eating but this I feel is perfect (although I ate only half I CAN FEEL IT K)
Anyway, it’s like yummy la!
I mean we all know what fish n chips tastes like and you either like one or hate one… so ya THIS I LIKE!
And the price is so reasonable!!
So go go go get get it ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

IMG_4391
Earlier that day I met Yuxuan at Chinatown to buy cloth (for sewing what I just posted) but before that we went to Smith St for lunch cos I was so hungry!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
IMG_4388
So we had the ah beng carrot cake and…
IMG_4389
The amazing $5.50 xiao long baos ๐Ÿ˜€
Yea we kinda shared all our meals (except snacks/drinks) that day lol…
Wanted to buy the wanton mee too but it was around 3pm then and they were out of wantons!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Also bought new shoes because they were like $70 and I have been looking for nice and comfy shoes to buy for so long! The comfy part, I’m not entirely sure yet but when I was trying them on it sure was.

On Tuesday, went to school to meet my friends after their last paper!
I miss all of them T_T

So some of us went to Chomp Chomp Food Centre for dinner! ๐Ÿ˜€

Sugar cane juice selfie ._.
This honestly is one of the better sugar cane juice around and better yet in XL

15 chicken satays for myself!
Every time I eat at Chomp Chomp I feel as if I’m merely sharing a table with the rest LOL
Because all the food they eat have crazy chili in them so I always settle my own meal LOL

Chicken wings came very late because the other stall was closed so every chicken wing order was made there…
Ended the night sitting at the rooftop and them drinking Bacardi with 7-Up and also eating crushed ice ๐Ÿ˜€

Last Saturday, I went to Singapore Night Festival with my aunt!
But before that, I went to Sunshine Plaza to buy Tomicas ๐Ÿ™‚

Got me an SLS ๐Ÿ™‚
It was a crazy hot day too!!
I was sweating the moment I left home and never once stopped despite fanning myself the whole time (like I literally brought a fan out cos it was so hot) until I got home again omg…
Ok then after dinner, we went around and only stopping when there were very interesting stuff…
IMG_4359
So at the National Museum of Singapore, William Close was playing his Earth Harp and it was really good!!
And thus crowded as hell but slowly we inched closer and closer till my camera could actually get shots like these lol…
Most of the time I just stuck my camera in the air (cos I’m short) and hope that he’s in the frame lol…
IMG_4307
He made a harp with the building what the hell???
IMG_4313
The guitarist who was playing too and I took a picture of him cos I couldn’t get a good shot of Close with the truss in the way :/
IMG_4316
He didn’t just invent the Earth Harp…
IMG_4321
He also invented the Drum Cloud!
The drummer played it for like 20s or something ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
IMG_4341
And his percussion jacket!
Really cool performance ๐Ÿ˜€
IMG_4385
Then we also saw people constantly staring at trees on which there were projections…
They were buddhas and you could see them properly only from certain angles.
Weren’t interesting enough to me but there were people who kept staring and staring and wouldn’t move lol…
Could they be praying or meditating LOL
IMG_4370
At Cathay Green, it feels most like a festival because there were food and music and all…
Basically a lepak corner…
But we weren’t hungry and all so yea we left soon and went to Armenian St because there were lots of music lined up.
IMG_4382
We both liked Brass Nation, a roving brass band, and this street was really cool just that IT WAS SO GODDAMN HUMID?!??!?!
Also there was an alley with really aromatic satay but a long queue so we didn’t bother to eat it lol…
Anyway, if you’re reading this today, you actually still can make it for the festival’s last day to catch all that’s there.
I probably am going later… FOR RANDOLF ARRIOLA IS PERFORMING OMGGGGGGGG

Ok and that night I was hungry…

So I made plain pasta and tossed it with black pepper and ate with my fingers from the pot while watching Pokemon in the dead of night.
Hell yeah I love the holidays!!!

Also bought these super yummy (and so darn cute) seaweed because they were on sale LOL
Always wanted to buy them (for the tins mostly) but they were $11 EACH and I just couldn’t bring myself to do it…
So when I saw it was $3, I got one each for tasting and omg????
They’re so yummy????
I love the plain one (purple tin) but the aftertaste is kinda totally gross… but nice

Erm yes,
So yesterday morning, after completing sewing the bag at 5am, I started to iron all my clothes that were waiting to be ironed (for a month or so) cos the iron was in my room, I couldn’t let my laziness even beat that!
And I tried to sleep but couldn’t…
So I went out at 7.30am because I had a mad craving for McDonald’s hash browns…
I wanted 5!!!!
But I thought better…

So I got a filet-o-fish meal.
I was gonna settle for just the hash brown that came with it but the girl in line before me got TWO so I couldn’t resist… -____-

After eating all that, I looked back and saw that there was NO QUEUE and I… got one more hash brown.
I could’ve gotten about another 3 more but did you know it is $1.90 each?!?!?!?
Is it not robbery?!?!?!?!?
Ok then I went home and read a bit more and then I went to sleep…

and woke up for dinner that is the amazing Ghim Moh pho I got my mum to buy home for me cos I thought Ghim Moh closed down but it didn’t!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so it’s gonna be 6am soon…
And I’m not very sleepy yet if at all -____-
Ok, Imma go read a book!!!!!
Goodbye ๐Ÿ˜€
