Last 3 Months of Year 3 & Gan Yakitori

I don’t even know how to begin lol. Just gonna put all my Instagram posts here and some of those from my camera. Backwards too, so the sequence might be quite incoherent.
It’s going to very long. After all, 3 months is about 90 days and that’s rather long. Maybe you’d want to scroll to the part about Gan Yakitori. It’s delicious.

Watching One Piece while having dinner in school after studying lol.

Lou yu sheng with Ms April Ng one day because we bought her abalone as a token of appreciation for helping us with FYP, so she got us to lou hei together. I’m pretty sure she didn’t eat a slice of abalone at all.

This one she made was the most delicious yu sheng I’ve ever eaten, and for the first time I actually ate everything and not just pick out the crackers (I don’t like sashimi (yet)), because she left out all the crappy stuff that are usually found in the standard ones like ginger.
She made it very Japanese too so that’s a plus point lol. In it were lettuce, radish, carrot, seaweed, jellyfish, abalone, salmon sashimi, ebiko and sesame dressing. Everything is edible much unlike the standard ones. And jellyfish. Genius.

Bought these Hacchando reito mukan, which are frozen and peeled mandarin oranges, simply because the packaging was super cute and it was 2 boxes for $5 and a lot cheaper than its original price.
It tastes like dried apricot and then it became orange ice-cream and as it thaws it tastes more and more like crispy orange juice. (I copied this description from my caption because it is the most accurate depiction of this thing ever.) Anyway, I think I was supposed to let it thaw before eating it but I don’t know??? I still have a box in the freezer lol.

Had dinner at Gan Yakitori one day after studying, sometime in February a week or so before CNY. Was at the Star Vista one (in case there are other outlets) and the service was atrocious!!!!! Inattentive as hell and they kind of just forget about you until you walk up to them or something. I wasn’t even shown to my table. I asked for a table and this staff acknowledged and just turned and walked so I followed thinking she was bringing me to my table, but she just went to attend to another customer?????
So I just hovered around cluelessly until another staff made me sit at the counter. I was waiting for the menu then. I waited for 5 minutes with intermittent waving for attention. 0 attention. So I walked to the nearest staff who was like 1 metre behind me at the cashier. Wow. Thanks. So I got my menu and had to wait about a minute after I decided and called for many staff who all ignored me, before someone actually noticed me.
Then, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be cooked. One of the items was served wrongly too. It’s not even full house yet so I don’t even want to imagine that scenario. If you are dying of starvation you ought to skip this place.
Except when you do put the food into your mouth, it’s like heaven. So if you don’t care so much about service then this place is no problem at all. I would return (with someone else paying for me because it’s goddamn unaffordable lol) just because the food is so amazing, now that I’m prepared to serve myself and bring some form of entertainment having been through this experience.
It’s like all the staff there know how good the food is that customers very well would overlook the terrible service, so they just don’t give a shit about the service anyway lol.

Tsukune (chicken meatball)

Momo (chicken thigh) (right? It’s thigh, right?)

Toumorokoshi (corn)
These yakitori were so darn delicious. Not overly charred, juicy and tender meat, super on-point seasoning and heaven sauce.

Also ordered oyakodon because 3 yakitori can’t keep me alive overnight (I think).
It’s nicer than at most places, but it didn’t overthrow Ootoya’s (thank god because I don’t have to wait so long nor tolerate being ignored there). What it lacked (that Ootoya has) was the charred and smoky taste of the chicken and the near-raw eggs that I fell in love with. This one had a distinct hint of ginger too (I kinda very hate ginger) so lol you lose.

Oh but they have this egg drop chicken soup that came with the oyakodon and it’s really refreshing and clear and shiok. Maybe it’s a tactic to wash away the bad taste from their service.

Was really sian of studying one day so instead of going home to studying even more I went loitering around and took time to explore Tokyu Hands. So many awesome things that I just want to buy for no reasons. Thank god I do not have the luxury to do things like that. Ok, I still do things like that but with a budget LOL.
Look at that brilliant (and cute) rice strainer I bought!!!! There’s a bigger one for noodles but it’s more expensive so I’m like nope. I don’t even cook rice often and I intend to use it for my noodles, which I always drop into the basin trying to decant from the pot lol.

The tiger mask which did not show any instant results because my face was beyond hope going through projects and FYP and exams. Very fun though. $15 for 2. Oh my gosh, I really really need to know the prices of regular masks before I splurge unknowingly on novelties.

Fuwatoro tenshin han set at Osaka Ohsho. Took a very long time to decide what to order because everything was those safe, familiar food that I am always inclined to order. So I settled on one of their specialties.

The egg was really fluffy (as promised) but what the hell? It’s crazily overpriced for mere rice (wasn’t even very nice) and egg drenched in some starchy soup!! Even the kaki fuyong in school tasted better at half the price!! with chicken and extra chicken!!

But you should really eat their gyoza. They’re famous for them and of course when the skin is so crispy and the insides are just mmmmmmmmmmm ๐Ÿ™‚ I will go there and get the big plate of gyoza next time lol.

My absolute favouritest thing about Isetan Japanese fairs is the Hokkaido gelato pop-up stall.

Because there’s this heaven fruit flavour better known by its common name melon. Even on saddest of days this would cheer your soul up man. But of course I’m always happy (even if my face don’t show) somehow (maybe because I’m always eating stuff without guilt unlike the many stupid people everywhere who find eating a sin (how about you guys don’t eat and die and tell me about it)) so it just further makes me smile lol you’re welcome, soul.
Anyway, it was already there days before so that cone was a repeat visit.

See? I had the awesome thing when I first spotted it. I also cherish it more because it’s not always there.

They laughed at me when I went back for more right after finishing the first cone. But I tried the Yubari soft serve since I’ve never seen it before. Gelato wins still (for texture) although the soft serve had a slightly stronger taste.

Also realised that they put up my Ringo Work shrine only during CNY period (otherwise it’s always in limited quantities in secluded shelves) mostly because they have this GXFC hamper thing (that nobody ever buys for me although it has equal importance to me as angpows lol).

Also saw super cute Hello Kitty tea!! But the price is so… I’ll have water instead.

And while I’m no fan of microwaved food, I absolutely love (unfortunately microwaved) bentos and most of the time I visit Isetan at night so they’re usually discounted and lol yummy.

Oishii baby senbei balls (I always forget its name cos it’s so long) I love.
Ok, I checked. It’s called Kotsubukko. Trust me, eat this.

Clementi 881 coffee shop’s awesome duck rice.

Redring wanton mee without the wanton but with cutlet rice and char siew because these two are so yummy.

Also, I don’t like the new design of the Ben & Jerry’s pints. It’s not ugly but I prefer the old one.

Ootoya forever.

Grilled horse mackerel was not bad but smelled kinda fishy. Worst part was the billions of bones I had to pick out because I forgot that fishes are full of bones (mega hate) since I only reduce my fish intake to fillets. Took a super long time to eat it and my fingers were cramped from prolonged use of chopsticks. I took so long that I was the last customer before closing.

Bae chawanmushi ๐Ÿ˜€

Yummy peach parfait!! I only paid for the dessert because my loyalty card was filled with stamps and I was entitled to a free set meal!

First time I had the chicken pizza at Wala Wala. Really yummy although parts of the chicken bits were damn fat and ewww…

Truffle fries!! Their old menu potato stuff were so dry but it has all changed. With the sacrifice of the bae dory chunks, that is.

I honestly love the chicken hor fun at Makan Place. I’d go back to school when it reopens so that I can eat all these stuff.

Tried making tea jelly with English breakfast tea. Not as nice as with hojicha.

I wish for white bread to be banned from being sold in place of the pink and green one that’s meant to be there!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Watched Cats!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ My favourite songs are Mr Mistoffelees and Skimbleshanks, and they were both delivered so beautifully live! I thought Munkustrap and Rum Tum Tugger had super nice voices.

The lighting was amazing and at the beginning, when the cats all ran to the stage from the back, ONE OF THEM TAPPED ME ON THE SHOULDER AND STARED AT ME!!!!!! YES, AISLE SEATS AREN’T THAT BAD ANYMORE!!!!!
There was a run a few years back, perhaps 2002 or something, and when I saw the trailers I thought it was so creepy because I’m so afraid of cats (I still am, a little), but I knew nothing of the beauty of arts.
Practically no one around me had interests in arts because it’s viewed as those expensive, useless, no-future sort of thing. I yearned to learn piano and ballet and whatever everyone else was unhappily forced to learn by their parents as a kid, because I was genuinely interested but was never granted lessons. So now I’m this really useless person with no talent or support, who is encouraged to do something with my life (now that I’m an adult) but I have nothing I’m good at. Except maybe I’m funny and nice and friendly and (please fill in good impressions of me). Anyway, thank god I went to watch Wicked and now I so love musicals (they are so far beyond the quality of school productions).

Cabbed to West Coast Park after the show on very short notice to meet these people. MY FIRST MIDNIGHT SUPPER!!!!
It was also Wen Wei’s birthday and I knew. I wanted to wish him only before I left but I forgot -____- so I had to text. I’m sorry.

Because I spent $18 on transport, I couldn’t afford a meal LOL. But the twister fries with ice-cream pair beats any McMeal hands down.

Tenderfresh has a restaurant near school. It’s Halal. That is so important since one of my group mates is Muslim. I ate this same chicken penne on 2 consecutive days because it’s yummy and I didn’t know what to choose from its extensive menu.

The BBQ wings were so-so…

Met up with Marissa at Gastronomia before she left for Bandung to do some art stuff for a month.

Favourite salted caramel crodo!!

Soy latte! The coffee here is really good but slightly thin.

Slept over at Hazel’s the day before the FYP presentation, rehearsing and I don’t really know what we were doing staying over. I slept 4 hours, as usual. But we had the last slot (8th presentation) and I didn’t take a nap throughout because I’d wake up groggy and I wanted to watch the others.

We were almost late because the bus broke down on our way to school. So in desperation we hired 2 Uber Executives (they were the only ones available in the vicinity) and arrived in style (that is with the unnecessary expense of shitload of money) in Mercedes-Benz S-Class. We were carrying lots of stuff so I crawled in and out of the car clumsily. Hate pencil skirts.

I was the AV person because I was responsible for the slides (the clients loved it hahahahaha thanks a billion Keynote!!!) and when it was my turn, despite rehearsing perfectly an hour ago in a store room behind the lecture hall, I messed up for a while but I straightened up soon. Worst. Anyway, it was a terrifying experience and one of the first time I have slept so little in my life.

Saw this beautiful butterfly one morning. Think it just emerged from its cocoon. Nobody else noticed it though. Nobody notices things very much at all.

A security guard walked in on us taking selfies with the visualiser at a hijacked lecture hall. Because they had to lock it up at 8pm. We hijacked lecture halls every day closer to the presentation day because we had to rehearse. That was why I started hijacking classrooms to study in after this was over.

Clearance sushi at the supermarket.

Bolognese fries at school.

Hojicha kanten forever.

Best combo ever.

Very cute maneki Hello Kitty.

Found the whistle thingy at Daiso so I bought it again because I don’t know where my old one went.

Bought two dozens of Milo although I still had many at home because I could get a balloon.

Prata Planet taste better now than it did a few years ago!

Popcorn chicken from school. My friends didn’t even know school had them. And so yummy they were.

I bought myself a birthday cake from Japan online. I didn’t know online shopping has no limits anymore.
I ordered the cake from Bunmeido at Rakuten!!!
I bought it because it was personalised and came with free shipping and it was $10 off at that point.
The Castella cake arrived in about 2 weeks and would expire in about 2-3 weeks as well. That was way before my birthday then. LOL. So I ate it anyway. 2 people wished me happy birthday and I got such a kick out of it hahahahaha!!!

Cereal fish is the best thing mixed vegetable rice stalls at coffee shops can offer!! So delicious!!!!

School’s chicken hor fun really became an addiction of sorts.

Fruits prepared by Hazel’s mum when we stayed over to rush out a presentation for a project that was due the next day. Her mum picks the sweetest fruits ever!! I am honing my skills on that aspects lol.

Found these amazing faux leather culottes at Zara on sale!! I love them ๐Ÿ™‚

First time encountering the new menu at Wala Wala and had to try their truffle fries.

Caption was “What’s your horoscope sign?” “Kuih Bahulu.”
I thought it was hilarious!!!!! (I still do) (please laugh) (it’s funny)

Went out to buy dinner one day although I didn’t want to because I was studying or writing report. Really had so little time then but I had to go out. What’s worse, my mum tasked me to look for some goddamn nasi lemak that didn’t even have a shop there. She didn’t even know which coffee shop!! So I darted around 6 coffee shops pissed off as hell before I ran home. Cos it was so humid and I really needed to do my schoolwork and was so pissed off with all the people walking around me at snail speed!!! Was having a lot of difficulty breathing too so the moment I went home I crashed in front of a fan and turned on the aircon. Goddamn country. I’d rather spend the same hour taking an examination than go through that again.

Cup meat sauce fettuccine!! Actually was drawn to it by Pooh, then I realised it wasn’t regular cup ramen! Genius and simple design for draining water (and also the different adhesive for each half) is just so super thoughtful. 5 minutes and doesn’t taste bad at all! Definitely better than my (palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, there’s vomit on his sweater already) mom’s spaghetti. I think it was $3-4. It’s impossible not to worship the Japanese.
Accurate opinion from Instagram caption.

Giant pomegranate!!

When I got the book, I couldn’t read it yet because of schoolwork. I read it anyway and I’m still T____T because it’s sad and funny and so good!! For once, the movie follows the book exactly (except the ending, the movie brought it to a proper end that made me cry) and I think this is really what a good book and good movie should be: funny, sad, accurate, capable of messing up your heart. I just bawled when they took away the tree T_____T Go watch the movie, everyone!! You’re welcome.

Lynette was finally free to go out!! We went to have dinner at Yoshimaru, where she wanted to go since forever but she has a curfew!!

Tried the Madagascan vanilla cone at Sunday Folks and I didn’t like it. Flavour wasn’t strong and the dried flower chip tasted salty and sour, which I thought was like freeze-dried banana but rotten.

Had really terrible skin the whole of Year 3 because of internship and the overload of schoolwork and projects and FYP. This A* friend decided to be my concealer. Thanks brooooooo ๐Ÿ™‚

Met Marissa after Lynette left because I didn’t know Marissa was working that day!! Then chatted with her parents and then she went to get her fortune read. My skin… omg.
Anyway, both of them were wearing the same thing!!! Grey pullover over a white shirt and black skirt. As if Singapore wasn’t humid enough.

1 plain 1 egg at Prata Planet. Any place that makes decent plain and egg prata can win my heart.

Many times I went to Blooie’s Roadhouse for dinner with Hazel and Keyang, as they used to work there.

Seafood pizza. Normal.

Cajun chicken Caesar salad was not bad! The chicken was really good ๐Ÿ™‚

Ootoya. Again.

Egg was more overcooked than I’d like but still yummy.

Bae chawanmushi.

Anmitsu maccha was only $3 and so tasty!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Teacher was so adamant about having a video recording. And he only accepted submissions in hard copy. Most difficult and optional teacher to me ever. Bought a new printer too!

My favourite version of me is when I look at the price tags and ignore them, and load up on snacks for myself!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Spent extra money on Puccho because they came with Kumamon toys. Never thought they would turn out so disfigured.

I need a bento maker in my life.

Bought this onigiri from Isetan too and it was so yummy even though it was cold T___T I love Japanese food!

Loong Fatt Tau Sar Piah the king.

Plain Vanilla‘s always out of my favourite hazelnut cupcake so

salted caramel and

dark chocolate ganache.

Took food and culture as one of my elective modules. I really shouldn’t take something I love as a graded thing because it damages my relationship LOL. Should have taken forex so I can make money. Anyway, one of the assignment was a food trail. And we chose a damn difficult country to research on – Sweden.
Went to Fika Cafรฉ as it’s the only Swedish establishment other than Ikea that we know exists in Singapore. Researching online was so tough because everything’s in a foreign language or they are just not enough information available. The relief teacher thought our group’s presentation was interesting.
Everything there was so overpriced.
Champis is the first soft drink in Sweden. This one tiny can costed like $8 if I’m not wrong.
Tasted like fizzy apple juice -____-
Korvstroganoff is sausage stew with rice.
Sausage was yummy. The salad dressing is so Idk??? Fermented???
Just like this tunnbrรถdsrulle. Before the waiter could set this dish on the table, I was like omg what’s that stench. So I went nearer to the stuff and sniffed. Died. Of course I had to try it for the assignment but I didn’t go back for more.
It’s a thin bread wrapped around sausage with Bostongurka. Bostongurka is the culprit of the smell and tasted like the kiamcai but worse. The rest got accustomed to the smell and thought it was acceptable after but I couldn’t feel the same even with one more bite.
Kรถttbullar och potatis is basically the well-known meatballs with potatoes. Meatballs were damn good but remember I said this place is crazy expensive? You’d be better off at Ikea.
Dessert is pannkakor med bรคr och grรคdde, which is pancake with cream and ice-cream but tasted more like crepes.

Bought Menicon Miru the day after I stumbled upon a little advertisement of it on a Japanese magazine. I checked out the lenses and was so impressed by the design and practicality of it, I bought it although I wasn’t a frequent user of lenses.
After trying it though, I wanted to sign up for membership but I have no money T___T and don’t use lenses often enough to have reasons to splurge like that T____T
It is so comfortable, many a times I forget that I’m wearing lenses and forget to remove them.

The design is so sleek and hygienic and so convenient to carry in my wallet in case I need improved vision. I love it. Please check them out.
I went to Paris Miki at Liang Court to get them and the staff there, especially Nisa, are by far the best service providers of all optometrists ever.

Roast chicken burger at The Rotisserie.

Prata Planet but uncle spilled curry on my prata ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

On New Year’s Eve, I had to go down to Brewerkz to take the videos for project. Yvonne so very kindly treated us to lunch although she didn’t have to.

Went to Starbucks to do up some work because I had time to kill before the countdown.
Liang Court’s atrium had some Japanese fair so on the way back from the restrooms, I went to take a look. And sampled some too because the staff gave me them.

These fuji apples were $6 each but so damn sweet and juicy T_T

Shizuoka mikans were at first sour but afterwards tasted like honey T_____T
I wanted to buy some but I wasn’t going home anytime soon so I cri.
I went to Robertson Quay looking for food. But as usual, nothing was going to open until dinner time. So I had to wait. I was also starving and late for the party. So I just went into the first restaurant I walked past that was already open because waiting 30 minutes would kill me right after I failed looking for a yakitori restaurant lol.
Beef kaminabe at Sugisawa Japanese Restaurant.
Yummy but it’s expensive T_T Probably because it’s dinner price T__T and the sad thing is that it’s not full of ingredients like other nabe dishes cos the paper is small or something T___T

Favourite pistachio loaded with massive amounts of pistachio chunks in the middle of the scoop (โ—•โ€ฟโ—•) Was thinking if I got run over by a car while crossing the road I’d cry not for my injury but for the loss of my ice-cream.
My Instagram captions are usually better than those on my posts. Ok, not always but they are real-time and accurate. I love Haato & Co. so much.
Then I went to Keyang’s house. As I’ve already had dinner, and everyone else was having theirs when I arrived, I fought using lightsabers with his youngest brother. It went on for 2 hours T____T I was never that tired the whole year I think T_____T But it was fun.

So I finally got a chance to rest when I sat down and played mahjong LOL.

Countdown with the TV. And drinking games. I joined Amirah with green tea LOL.
Then after the drinking games were over, we continued with mahjong until late. Tried to sleep at 3am or something but I was the only one who couldn’t get to sleep. We left when the first buses started operating. But we shared a cab to MRT stations convenient for us instead.
Of course, I was famished at 6am when my last meal was at 7pm.

Went to get myself a McMeal. And bought one more hash brown for the trip home. I really would have gotten 10 if they weren’t so expensive!!!

Loved this the instant I saw it. But I didn’t buy because I sensed a sale coming and it came a few days after. That’s when I bought it. Yay.

Roasted chicken crepe at Marchรฉ with Marissa. Yummy but small T_T Also, we were sitting in the dark T_T Cos it was very crowded and bad seats were all we have.

So I got one chicken wing to make up for the smallness of the crepe and the guy was like “I give you one for free” then I said I only wanted one and he said “never mind, just take it” so I thanked him. It’s normal. And it was late. Maybe the reason for his charity but I doubt so.

Awfully Chocolate. I hope they don’t ever change. I’ll be so devastated if their standards were to drop due to expansion.

Shabu shabu gyuniku ramen at Yoshimaru with Edna on very short notice.
Because I could get 2 bowls at the price of 1. I was just dialling everyone on my contact list, until Edna woke up and accepted my invitation LOL.

She gave me KitKats and unsheathed the peals of laughter buried within me.
Edna: I went to church and the pastor (I heard pasta) was like tsk-
Me: Why? Not nice?
Edna: He is like so aggressive…
OMG ;____; ROFL
Edna: eh this construction site… What are they building here sia
Me: *thoughtfully* oh I think it’s a building
;_____; omg laughters I miss because of stress in school.

Gyudon at Yoshinoya. Overheard a foreigner exclaiming outside Yoshinoya: “Wow! This is like McDonald’s but Japanese style!” ๐Ÿ˜€

This is the super delicious tiramisu Hazel made for me. I love it to bits ;___; It’s not even a biased judgment, it’s really damn bae.

Kushiyaki bento with takikomi gohan at Tampopo Deli.
Microwaved bentos always taste great.
Godiva‘s soft serve!!
Tastes like super rich and thick chocolate milk but better ๐Ÿ™‚
Yummy baumkuchen from Juccheim ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the biscuits they give because they’re cute and yummy and seasonal ๐Ÿ™‚
Bunch of cakes from Flor Patisserie! I think the mushroom one (I forgot what it’s called T_T) was the yummiest.

Nabehide for Christmas dinner!! ๐Ÿ˜€
A la carte buffet with shabu shabu items and others like ebi fry, gyoza, shishamo. These were so-so.
The mushrooms were huge!!!!
Not kidding at all.
My mum was like “Can I have 10 prawns?” because when it first came it came in a pair and she was like ?????? (She loves seafood and prawn especially lol)
Making a reservation on hungrygowhere entitled me to a free plate of Wagyu beef. So fat till I had to pull off some bits before I ate them.
Milk pudding.
Overall really yummy and affordable for a buffet I’d say.

Tried making lasagna but boiling it wrecked it like hell so it looked more like German pasta. T_T

XXL chicken from Shihlin.

Bae strawberry cheesecake parfait from Snaffles.

Cutest Gudetama stamps on Line Camera but they’re hard to use lol.
Beef udon at good old Tamoya. I think it’s better to get the normal ones because it’s more economical and the broth isn’t too masked by the meat’s flavour.

Frequented Brewerkz so much because we were doing a project on them.
My favourite food of all time is this soba noodle salad with chicken. Everything is sooooo yummy in this humongous bowl!!! ;____; I loved it so much, I ordered it every time I had a meal there. Yes, so I didn’t really eat anything else other than the sides.
Truffle fries were not bad! I literally love seeing potato skin on fries. They tend to be the best parts too ๐Ÿ™‚
Was at the kitchen taking photos and omg this burger looked sooooo good!!!!! I still ordered soba salad lol I’m sorry it’s really so yummy.
Got a brewery tour ๐Ÿ˜€
Hobs look like terrapin feed.
I don’t like beer ๐Ÿ˜ฆ but many people love the beer there so go if you love beer. Or dislike. Because you can eat soba salad.

sparkle sparkle

Went to a charity gig at Blu Jaz Cafe.

Photo with Daphne Khoo!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

NATHAN HARTONO!!!!!! I’ve been loving this man’s voice since about 10 years ago!!!

Bought my dream mackintosh! The most expensive garment I’ve ever bought yet. Even though it was the cheapest one I could find online!!! And it was too big for me -___- But it’s ok.

Dimsum from Hong Ho Phang Hong Kong Tim Sum. So yummy!! Good chee cheong fun like these are hard to find now ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the Abacus workshop and I got a certificate ๐Ÿ˜€

Yup. You know where. But it’s my first time having lunch there.

So I got the Ootoya lunch set (which is also available for dinner), which is a pile of karaage and croquette and I’m not entirely sure. What I’m sure of is that it’s so yummy!! Literally everything the chef makes is a beautiful thing.

Chapalang miso-tsuyu spaghetti with super yummy Tatsumoto pork sausage and surprise furikake. This #chefcasia is literally so chapalang. A little too salty but not bad ๐Ÿ˜€

One day they ran out of hor fun so I had to eat mee kia.

Sorry not sorry.
Huge fan of One Piece who watches new episodes every Sunday and curses when it’s postponed. McDonald’s had this thing and I’m like !!!!! so I got many people to help me buy and I managed to only eat 1 meal completing the collection.
I put them up on the Christmas tree at my grandma’s and the week after, my aunt just kept them in some box with the tree and I’m like T____T

The first time I found these, I said I live in a well and didn’t know that school sells pizza fries but Grace was like I think i live at the earth’s core where is this FROM. Hahahaha I love Grace. Internet crush although we’re first real life acquaintances but the friendship never progressed further in the Outernet.

I can’t cry over spilled milk cos I don’t drink milk. But I spilled my darn cereals and it was so hard to wipe all the sugary bits off cos they’re naked to the eye T_T

Crammed hell a lot of Japanese in 12 hours over 6 weeks thanks to Yลko sensei who raps her lessons, so if we didn’t pay attention for just one second, we’d be lost forever. She said my handwriting was very pretty HAHAHAHAHA everyone kinda says that but it’s the normal hand???

Overslept on the day of my examination. Maybe cos I was scared that I’ll oversleep. So I did. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ After all, it was in the midst of the hellish semester in which I slept at 4am and woke as late as possible to make it in time for school every day. The morning paper was asking for it. T_T Completely deaf to my alarm.
Went to Menzo Butao for lunch after taking JLPT. All of us were like aiya die liao die liao maybe can’t pass. I got la but N5.
Got the aburi chicken. It was mediocre.

Ordered a Gudetama luggage, which was supposedly sold in Taiwan. SO CUTE.

It’s a tamago nigirizushi!!!!!!!! The quality is terrible though. I have brought it overseas as a carry-on once and it was already scratched from god-knows-what! I can’t imagine having to check it in T_T

You’re probably bored of me eating here.

That is if you made it this far down this draggy and boring post.

Bought yumepirika and it is so delicious!! You really pay for the quality!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Eating this with tarako furikake is bliss.

Leftover rice for ochazuke is lazy bliss.

I miss my childhood so much. Especially those in Japan.

This cow plush. Not soft nor cuddly but I loved it all the same. Kids.

I love this boring as hell playground below the apartment! It’s so boring cos there’s like this slide and a seesaw and that’s pretty much it. It’s also stupid because everything is metal and then it was winter so it’s goddamn cold so max play was 5 minutes.

Miam Miam has terribly huge portions, I wish someone had warned me. My mum and I had to finish what was meant for about 5 people.
Miam Miam spaghetti. Don’t remember how it tasted but I know it wasn’t much.
Arrabiata was very salty.
Caramelised banana pancake reminded me of After You Cafรฉ.
Finally something delicious although I was stuffed from the pasta T_T
Valrhona chocolate soufflรฉ was disappointing in comparison.

I bought FlashAir and everything’s great except for the unstable connection and ugly application UI.

Tested it out on some of my Tomicas since I could use the pictures for my show & tell for Japanese lessons lol.

The car that started it all ^___^

Also got new ones the day I ate at Miam Miam. I want to live in a Tentmushi!!! It’s so cute and cute and cute.

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh was nice. Actually all bak kut tehs are more or less yummy. I still think Ng Ah Sio and Founder are my favourites.
Taking this picture can either mean it was very nice or I gave up on taking photos of the others. I no longer recall what is true .____.

Saw this Singapore Poos and I laughed so loudly in the bus my friends told me everyone was staring at me. What’s new?

Had lasagna with meatballs at Gourmet Pizza to Go. Too much bรฉchamel for my liking and I didn’t like it very much at all.

This chicken hor fun at Harbourfront Centre’s food court was not bad. It’s also Halal.

McVitie’s Victoria diabetes.

When Don was in Tokyo, I asked him to get me Gelatoni, who was quite new then.

Story: Duffy dropped his gelato on the ground while taking a stroll with Mickey. Then Gelatoni appeared and told him it’s ok and introduced himself. Then he used the gelato to paint. And then they painted together.
That’s what I managed to read with my limited Japanese knowledge, aided with the illustrations. The story I first read online when it debuted sounded much more touching.

It’s so cute ๐Ÿ˜€

Toffee nut latte and they shouted Car ่™พ so loudly because I didn’t know it was me T_T

Calamari at Brewerkz for project.

Tried it with salmon and Hazel preferred it. I didn’t because it was so little and more expensive and not very flavourful on its own. The chicken was teriyaki-sauced and can be found in every other bite because they add chicken like it’s free ๐Ÿ˜€

Haato & Co. It’s now priced at those gourmet ice-cream prices. I remembered it to be much cheaper!!!

Hawaiian chicken thing at Breko Cafe. Without cheese.

Pistachio at Sunday Folks. Sorry for being boring.

I love cereal fish this much hahahaha ๐Ÿ˜€

This thing melted and stuck together but was so yummy!!!! Have no idea where it’s from but it’s some egg wafer coated in chocolate. Amazing!!!!

Mid-November and my complexion was this bad.

Bazhang from Daun Pandan Rice Dumpling. Yummy!!!!!!

Wasted an hour in lecture making this banana chocolate thing. I really don’t know why this teacher can be so strange. The funniest one was this ice-cream making thing before lecture. Took 1.5 hours to prepare everything before the shaking while he conducted the lecture. When you shake ice-cream in a bag of ice, it’s going to be really noisy right? He told us to shake the ice-cream non-stop and when we obeyed, he was like SHHHHH. What the.

School has this waffles and ice-cream place called Creamy Duck. What.

Hey Jude in my Lazy Oaf shirt.

I love origami.

Celebrated Marissa’s birthday at Hard Rock Cafe again. Before that, I went to Paragon to get her the Nutella cake again. Also 19 candles. I don’t think they put them all on it because it wasn’t as flaming T_T I walked the whole stretch in terrible rain T_T

Fish and chips

I love my face here hahahaha

Do I need to say where?

Kasan set!

Breaded chicken with vegetables in some broth. So good although I scalded my tongue T_T

My group planned on black and so did the other group -___- So it looked like a funeral.

First time at Brewerkz to discuss about the project.

First time I fell in love with anything that has ‘salad’ in its name.

Hazel got really high from drinking and the cab ride home was so funny!! Uber driver also said we were his happiest customers ever!

Keyang was wearing this jacket with a detachable hood LOL and he detached it so LOL.
Anyway, I was later than my group in going to class then they told me that when they saw a figure behind them in the reflections, Hazel turned and screamed at me. Except it wasn’t me but some random stranger LOL!!!

School pasta with amazing meatballs that I never got to eat again because they were always sold out T_T

I love broccoli.

Fish & Co.

Went for the inaugural Hello Kitty Run because so cute!! It was supposedly 5km but ????? and it also rained and ran out of medals for the 15k turnout. Luckily I wasn’t those lazy asses who go to fun runs to fun walk.
Bought a towel for $15 and 5 minutes into running, it vanished. So I bought another after that because I’d rather buy a $30 towel than drop $15 on the floor lol.

This bunch of Japanese guys were sooooo cute!!! They made their own shirts for their corporation and followed the template of the given tee. It was SO cute!! And balloons around their waists!!!! But when they started running, a bunch of them tangled up and they were stuck together LOL!!!

Went to a workshop at school right after the run decked in my Hello Kitty jinbei. Everyone made fun of my jinbei. I literally don’t get it. It’s really nice. I’m still actively wearing it out because people always talk about the weird outfits I love anyway.

Katsu jyu

Delicious as always but I prefer the chicken one ๐Ÿ™‚

Peach parfait that was new on the menu. The banana parfait that was super good is no longer there T_T But this is nice too ๐Ÿ™‚

Chicken chop at Platypus Family Kitchen and the chicken was yummy!!

Hazel (Liem) got me a Hello Kitty EVA Air model ๐Ÿ˜€ I love it soooo much!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Farmer day LOL

Had to send Sentosa photos for our membership card application so we agreed on doing this awkward smile. HAHAHAHA!

Our Sentosa Islander cards!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! We received free fun passes as well. It expired when we finally found time to have a day of fun after the major school stuff were over. Nerds. All work and no play. T___T

Always asking people to have a picnic on their gingham shirts and for the first time anyone entertained me LOL!!!!!
Thanks Seng Tiong. You’re my best bud.

Congratulations. You have made it to the end of this post. I took days to write it. I’m so glad it’s done. If you cheated and scrolled to the bottom (don’t know why you did it when you can just close it), then I understand you completely because I’d have left LOL. Thanks for reading and that’s all for my last memories of school.

ChunkFest 2014 & the weekend

4 October, I met Lynette at Orchard at noon for lunch and shopping before heading to the grass patch of Marina Bay.

Bought some eyeshadows (341, 357, 329) from Inglot because I felt like it T_T
Takashimaya had a Japan Travel Fair and I am not one to miss stuff like these.

Some hokkaido soft serve for $2! ๐Ÿ˜€
Very milky and in a very small portion ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Yummy nonetheless.

They were selling bentos!!!!
This shinkansen bento is only $8 and comes with a bottled drink AND A TOY OMG ^___^
Then we took a bus and made our way to Gardens by the Bay.
On a bridge en route to The Meadow, we spontaneously planted our asses on the planks and had a picnic .___.

The bento’s packed by Tampopo Deli!
The rice and chicken is goddamn yummy T_T, but half of the sides were not so yummy T_T
Thank you for giving me a toy to redeem yourself T_T

It’s a maneki neko and inu hariko ;___;
Apparently the collection has a sukiyaki and sake set too and I want it T_T
I love capsule toys T_T
Why am I crying non-stop on this post T_T LOL T_T

So then Lynette and Danish had media passes and free ice-creams (unlimited) goddammit T_T
But we benefitted too because they gave us the coupons for free scoops ๐Ÿ˜€

Tried Scotchy Scotch Scotch and White Russian.
Not much comment for the former but White Russian is SOOOOOOO YUMMY!!
Wish it’d stay put in Singapore.
Thought ChunkFest was kinda terrible because the venue was so muddy after the morning rain!
They also didn’t have a wide array of merchandises for purchase, nor was it prominent in the whole area.
I didn’t even buy any faircoins!

I did have fun, though, playing this nonsensical sumo thing with Lynette.
Suits were smelly as hell but after this I felt a need to own a set myself (just for the sake).

There was a video of me winning LOL… They weren’t strict on the rules anyway, they just wanted people to get in and be fools HAHAHAHA

Then there was a cat named Coco or Cocoa or something like that.

It’s the fluffiest and softest cat I’ve ever touched.
Also this cat is the best form of a pet ever: doesn’t touch you but lets you touch it.

Do you believe I’m afraid of cats lol…

Left after a while because Joe was being a bitch and blaming me for bringing him to that hellhole that required us to pay for ice-cream.
He thought ChunkFest was like Free Cone Day!
We walked from Gardens by the Bay all the way to Dhoby Ghaut. Ghautdammit -___-
Afterwards, my legs were aching and there were no place I could sit after we parted.
Walked to Somerset to meet Lynette for dinner.

Thought I’d bring her to Ootoya because she had wanted to eat there last time.
There is this curse that ensures food to not be satisfactory every time it’s under my recommendation.
She ordered my favourite oyako jyu at this outlet I’ve not patronised.
It came with eggs so done I felt so sorry I brought her here T_T

Ordered miso tonkotsu and some of the pork was really tough T_T
I was so disappointed with this branch T_T (or the said curse T_T)
Even the gokoku rice wasn’t as nice T_T
Oh ya, the miso tonkotsu had a really long name on the menu, so much so I gave up while reciting it to the waitress HAHAHAHA!
It was something like ‘deep fried breaded pork loin cutlet in miso sauce’ or something like that and after the third word I just told her “aiya, you know what I mean!” because it was the only item on that page LOLOLOL

On Sunday, I went to my first concert ever.

Who would’ve thought it’d be a Chinese concert.

Everyone was thinking this was a getai because it looked like a very extravagant getai T_T
There were Hokkien songs too! -____-
Anyhow, I went there with no expectations of being entertained because WHAT DO I KNOW ABOUT CHINESE? LET ALONE THE SONGS???? FOR THE OLDER GENERATIONS???
Turns out I was quite wrong.
I did know about half the songs sang. I could anticipate the lyrics (somewhat) involuntarily and hit jackpot when they sang the line.
I don’t know for sure how that is possible when I can’t form a line of the verses even if I tried.
Really funny too how one was singing a song and suddenly blurted out that she forgot the lyrics, then continued with the song LOL!
Another lady was speaking and then she was attacked by thirst so she went to get a bottle and she kept hesitating for no reasons and was so flustered about it HAHAHAHA!
So this guy called Su Yong Kang was the last act.
Everyone loved him and I don’t even know who he was.
He began by asking if he should sing an English song too, as did the rest.
There’s a guy shouting “ไธ่ฆ๏ผ” (“NO!”) for all four times he asked LOL and then the singer heard someone requesting for him to speak in Cantonese and there was a roar of applause so he did.
I understood nothing. I have heard before every song he sang. I don’t know to be proud or ashamed LOL.
Then he descended the stage to shake hands with the audience.
He must have regretted taking a selfie with one of them because everyone started getting up for a photo with him.
Then everyone, even those far from where he was mingling, started to prepare for the opportunity by rushing to the aisle where he was walking.

What you see here isn’t even the worse yet.
It was a mess and I kept on laughing, confused as to whether this was a concert or a stand-up comedy.
His last song was a really popular one (I’ve heard it SO many times) and my mum said this was a song not many people can sing, and he could.
When he announced his last song, this dramatic guy in my view (he was so dramatic the whole duration of the concert, I looked his way too many times) shouted “YES!!!!! YES!! YESSSSSSS!!!!!” with his arms in the air OMG!
And he proceeded to sing along really dramatically OMG.
Yea, that’s all about my first concert experience.
I hope Arctic Monkeys would come soon. T______T

Had this kway teow thing at PappaRich before the show.
Not bad!

Went to AMPED Trampoline Park on Monday.
$15 for an hour of jumping (with tons of restrictions), wasted on getting really tired and spending most time slacking.

Before that, for lunch I had duck rice at Sin Fong Restaurant while everyone else had kway chap.
It’s not bad but I reside so close to a better duck rice.
Went to Old Airport Road Food Centre for dinner.

Had really delicious chee cheong fun from #01-155!
Got chicken and mushroom because prawn and char siew were sold out.
These are so yummy, I haven’t had any so yummy since the one at Marsiling Lane Block 20 closed down!
This is to say, the chee cheong fun at Far East Plaza is a whole level below this.

Also had wanton mee from Hua Kee (#01-02)!
A different taste from that of Wei Ji’s at Chinatown but I’d say it’s on par.
There were so many recommendations for this hawker centre, I wanted to eat everything T_T
I think this confirms that I always appear to be sharing a table with my friends rather than eating with my friends because I always eat something of my own selection rather than share a bunch of food .____. what.

Yesterday was spent on my bed lying around reading a book or playing Puzzle Bobble because the few minutes of jumping gave me an intense body ache and a laziness I couldn’t shake off…
It remained today so I have spent no more than 4 hours away from my bed in these 36 hours or so LOL.

Last Thursday I went to Chinatown for dinner with Jia En and Yuxuan! ๐Ÿ˜€

There were more food but they left to get their individual meals after I got mine…
So I was alone with all these food .___.
Twice, people came to ask the location of the xiao long baos! HAHAHA ๐Ÿ˜€

I miss my friends T_T

Last Wednesday I made amazing hojicha kanten jelly!
Wanted to remake it the next day because I finished the whole batch -___-
I did remake it but it was SO humid, my sweat dripped into the mould while I was pouring them in, despite vigorously mopping my forehead with a handkerchief the whole time I was cooking.
I have yet to chuck it, but I ought to, soon, but I have no desire to touch it LOL.

Also made half-boiled eggs and seasoned them for about only 2 hours.
Dinner comprising instant tonkotsu ramen and the half-assed ajitama…
So darn yummy! The hefty price tag is really worth it!
I doubt I’d ever buy non-Japanese instant noodles.

Costed me about $45 from Rakuten T_T but I want more T_T

Ok bye ๐Ÿ˜€

Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen

Was busy meddling with my blog theme so I put off blogging and now I have so many to blog about T_T
Ok I’ll do this reverse chronologically… so the title won’t make sense until halfway.

Friday I had Isetan’s bento for late lunch because I craved for it.
Went to Westgate to check out Tokyu Hands but turns out I didn’t much like it because it was too small and crowded.
Watched If I Stay and while the story is nice and all I think the movie wasn’t super good. Have yet to read the book though…

Went to Wala Wala for chicken wings with the Randolf Arriola fan club LOL
But guess what?
They left 40 minutes before his last performance cos they didn’t like his songs that day?????? -___-
And then they stood outside for super long without any plans (told y’all not to leave???) so I just went home.

Anyway, I tried the new (quite old now) core series and Hazed & Confused is so yummy!!!

On Wednesday went to Chinatown to find Jia En with Yong Chin and Jun Yang.
Chicken porridge from Tiong Shian Porridge Centre again!
After her hour’s break, we parted and I was stuck with the two most aimless people I now know…

Got lost a little, then did nothing for a long time and then ended up at Suntec City.
Where I separated halfway cos I don’t know where they went so I went shopping!
Bought nothing except ice-cream -___-
Dulcet & Studio for dinner!
The usual black pig bolognese because I have no propensity to try new stuff on the menu lol…
Also bought 5 cakes and 1 cream puff home LOL!!
Because I had a $50 mall voucher and didn’t know what to do…
Mini cream puff $2
Let my mum eat it cos I’ve had it before.
Peach chiffon $7
This wasn’t nice ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Strawberry shortcake $7
Yummy like always ๐Ÿ˜€
Kyoho grape chiffon $7
Yummy but sort of strange…
Anyway I have the same sort of grapes (not entirely sure though) at home I should eat them soon.
Fruit scoop cake $7
Yummy still and the orange slices were especially juicy and sweet then ๐Ÿ˜€
Chocolate cube $8
Was yummy but one side was marred by the packer’s strange choice of arrangement ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Tuesday’s midnight snack was Nissin’s CQYD instant noodles!

Sesame oil flavour and Japan-made and it is the best instant noodles I have ever had O.O
The noodles were springy and chewy and the broth is so tasty omg???
Are they all like this or only those Japan-made ones that cost no less than $2.50 per packet?
Also hardly cooked my egg and it was yummy O.O

Also received my box of Liberty note cards! ๐Ÿ˜€
Bought this for the box but now I don’t know what to do with them cos they’re so pretty and I don’t want to use them .___.

Monday night was dinner with some who were leaving for NS and Amirah in a dress.
Also, dropped my outerwear without knowing and took me a good half an hour or so to realise.
Turns out Michelle saw it on the floor where I dropped it and said absolutely nothing LOL เฒ _เฒ

Brought everyone to Fisherios Fish n Chips for yummy fish n chips!
Got the mixed platter set that comes with beer-battered fish, breaded fish, nuggets, calamari and chips!
Very very filling and I still find that the fish is super yummy ๐Ÿ˜€

Got chocolate ice-cream at Fivไบ” Tapas Bar where everyone else was drinking beer.

Had a sleepover at Amanda’s without anyone (except Hilary) sleeping to send her off to Maldives the next morning!
Played mahjong most of the time after the steamboat!

Defenders of Changi Airport HAHAHAHAHAHA

Looking like I’m the one leaving (by accident) :/
Oman T_T I miss all my friends T_T so many of them are interning now T_T

And this one I can’t meet till March or something because I can’t afford tickets to Maldives, can I? (not yet, at least)
She tried to be sad and wiped at her eyes (they were completely dry I swear) before leaving.
Crystal was also crying like hell…
I don’t know why you guys are crying??? You guys are going to MALDIVES???? For 6 MONTHS????
More like hallelujah sweet Jesus???
Ok, so Lynette wasn’t allowed to stay overnight so she went home with the intention of returning the next morning.
She overslept and only reached 10 minutes AFTER Amanda, Crystal and Tabithan went to the departure hall.
Hilary, Nicholas and I went to McDonald’s for breakfast because we were starving and then Lynette came to join us and started crying cos she didn’t see Amanda off.
Then I burst out laughing and she whacked me OMG!
I swear she can look like a very gentle and kind-hearted person but when she attacks it hurts like hell LOLLLLLL!!!!
I kept telling her to FaceTime Amanda because they are still waiting to board the plane but she’s like NOOO NOOOOO and bawling her eyes out LOL…
Then I FaceTimed Amanda and found out she started to cry because Lynette cried HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Ok then loitered around Changi Airport with Lynette after breakfast!

Had gelato at Gelataria Italia in the morning…
What’s new when we go out together hahahaha!
Ok then I went home and collapsed…

Woke up to go to Liang Court for dinner ^_^
Went to Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen!

T___T I miss Japan

Hot stone fried rice
Quite yummy but I couldn’t fully enjoy it from how stuffed I was because we had way too much food for two!!!

Shoyu ramen was yummy and I liked the bean sprouts ^_^

Ebi fry and gyoza which were nothing special…

Kazan kaisen-shio ramen
Looks great but I’m not big on seafood so I don’t know…?
Tasted the broth and it’s good T_T
Should have gotten the kazan shoyu ramen instead of ordinary shoyu ramen because the place is named after their volcano ramen and if I don’t eat it then what am I doing .___.

This Emoda bag I pre-ordered took a month to get to me after I was just a few seconds late in buying it when it was launched.
Set my eyes on them ever since I saw Ena carry it in her pictures.
Love everything about the bag!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€
Except the smell… I’ve been bringing it out for a week and the newish smell is still there ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Also kinda worried the straps might give way because the kind of things that goes in my bags are always goddamn heavy for some reason??

Last Friday I went to Marina Bay Sands.
But first, I went to Orchard since I had to transfer buses anyway…

Of course to get myself a capsule Tomica!
Got the red Fairlady that I wanted ^_^
Was really early so I went to HY California for a snack.
Their mains sounded so good but I wasn’t very hungry T_T
Not hungry enough to blow $40 on a midday meal T_T

Truffle potato (ใƒปโˆ€ใƒป )
It’s alright…
What I thought was a small portion for $12 before taxes nearly killed me.
So darn full afterwards ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

I was still early so I headed to Zara to shop a little…

It fit however slightly big but it was the only one left so I took it ( ใ€€๏พŸ,_ใ‚๏พŸ)

Don’t have a full-length mirror so I kinda died taking this picture แ•ฆ(รฒ_รณห‡)แ•ค
Then also realising that my leg is removable…
Ze Ling said I looked like a “centower” and I couldn’t understand and he sent a picture of a CENTAUR.
CENTOWER. Bless my friend.

Drum TAO: Seventeen Samurai at the Sands Theatre!! ๐Ÿ˜€
Wonderful show!!! Music, costumes, synchronicity and all…
Really hilarious too, even without speech! ๐Ÿ˜€
If it comes next year I wanna go watch it again (๏ฝกโ™ฅโ€ฟโ™ฅ๏ฝก)

Last Wednesday I went to Michelle’s house to learn mahjong and erm… get assaulted by her dog.
Normally I’ll be ok with dogs, but this one kept barking at me and kept licking me T____T
And it kept looking for me T_T
Never in my life have I ever said so many “NO!”s in a day T___T
That’s what they all told me to do so the dog would leave me alone.
It did, for a while, before coming back to disturb me T_T
why (*ยดะด๏ฝ€*)
Ok then we went to Changi Airport to see Fiona and Adeline off to Phuket!

Just me looking like I’m the one flying. All the time.
When in reality I’m the most pathetic person who hardly gets to travel .__.

One day I was talking to Yuxuan and then she said she couldn’t draw her brows properly.
But when the morning came, she could because she was in a hurry.
So I came up with an idea for her to draw her brows the night before on tape, then stick them on in the morning! HAHAHAHA!

I tried to demonstrate how it follows actual brow movements to convince her.
HAHAHA very nice!
Thing is, I don’t need it because I do have brows (โ—กโ€ฟโ—กโœฟ) *toss hair*
Didn’t sleep that night because insomnia .__.

Also cooked yummy egg sandwich for breakfast.
It was so good I ctrl+c ctrl+v for another.

Last Saturday, last last Saturday?
I don’t know… it’s the last day of Singapore Night Festival 2014.
I went to Orchard to relax, read a book, wait around.

That was where I discovered capsule Tomicas!

Not much details but they were sooooo cute!!
Michelle came and I was like “do you wanna buy me a car?” and she just said OK and bought me a car.
Fiona came and I tried it again and she was like NO??? IT’S SO UGLY???? but then she bought me a car too.
Oh ma gosh guys (โŠ™ใƒฎโŠ™)

^____^ โค

Band of Doodlers had boards up for people to doodle on and ๐Ÿ˜€
I didn’t because I can’t draw much ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Then we all went to queue for The Cloud of Unknowing!

Randolf Arriola!
How terrible Fiona’s first encounter of his music is live sound effects and not covers and she’s completely lost trust in my taste in music.
But then again, hardly anyone likes the songs I listen to anyway… (not that I know of)

Really cool display of a film with live music and special effects.
Don’t really get the story though.
I really liked the crazy trance music and strobe lights towards the end.
They all hated it (and to think they are the ones who worship clubbing).
And after we left, everyone looked at me and told me never to bring them to artsy stuff like that ever again.
Fml, I need new friends.

Ok, that’s about it!
Can’t wait for Friday because fun fun fun fun lookin’ forward to the weekends!

Cavalia & Verve Pizza Bar

(geddit geddit????? Hay? Because horse?) (never mind)

Before the show, had dinner (my first meal of the day having woken up 3pm) at Rasapura…
Got these shrimp and minced pork wanton noodles from Noodle Star!
The noodles were really good but the dumplings were like so-so…
This whole food court has the most ridiculous prices but also a collection of really good Singaporean food so yea…

Went to the White Theatre Tent for Cavalia!
First time I’m at this venue and it’s a very beautiful theatre (although crappy seats)!
Was seated about 5 rows from the very back ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
I thought it was super far from the stage so we brought binoculars!
Turns out the distance was ok and everything was ok ๐Ÿ˜€

I killed my phone’s battery with the excessive amount of (forbidden) photography…
It’s amazing how it lasted throughout the show and died once I left the place ๐Ÿ™‚

Really liked this black horse because it was so beautiful and elegant ๐Ÿ˜€

Then there was this cow-looking horse ^_^

This was my best shot of all hundreds of pictures I took HAHAHA ๐Ÿ˜€

Do not forget I was way at the back and using my phone’s camera ok! ๐Ÿ˜€

Cutie pie

Her balance was amazing O_O

Then this other dude started jumping and then skipping over a rope ON the horse’s back #youwin

They all started with 2 and now it was a 4 and…

Then this lady was like handling 6 horses omg???

And all 6 of them were hurdling #youallwin

Aerial stunts

Occasional comedy

And coming back to hurdle ON the horse #win

Notice the last horse.
It was so derp!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA
When going around the circle, it was always off track before sliding back into the circle!!
And when they were changing directions it was always confused and a few seconds late HAHAHAHA!

The comedy preceding a really fast item.
By fast I mean horses zooming from one end to the other with the riders performing stunts on the horses’ backs, with all pictures I took so blur I deleted them .___.

More aerial stunts

If I accept such blur photos, can you imagine how blur those I deleted were?

Then the sun started rising

You see, the equestrian art was so stunning, I never notice when they cleared the sand and filled the whole front of the stage with water.

The beautiful splish splash

Then they started spinning

Then they lined up and faced one side then the other, IN ABSOLUTE SYNCHRONICITY omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zoom zoom

Watery zoom zoom

Ultimate zoom zoom

The goodbye

The live music (which was really good and the singer’s voice was lovely)
There was a standing ovation from the whole audience so YA GUYS GO WATCH IT!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€
Really enjoyed this show ๐Ÿ˜€

Superimposed the Zazabellou plush on a selfie cos I didn’t buy it T_____T

Was walking back to the car after the show…
The smell of pizza was raping my nostrils so I went to Verve Pizza Bar, just in time for the last order.
Mancini – BBQ chicken, peppers, onions???
It’s yummy!!! (but not as much as the OMGs like Pasta Fresca, Da Paolo and Trapizza)
Couldn’t resist a pistachio gelato too!
Pistachio is quite the best flavour ever????
But this is not better than Haato & Co.
Ok then we headed home!!

On Wednesday, I had mixed vegetable rice for dinner from I-don’t-know-where!

Had this cereal fish (the extreme right) for like 3 days in a week .__. I love it .___.
At around 8.30pm, I had a sudden urge/motivation to sew a pouch for my portable charger, which I had in mind since the end of my internship!

So I did!!! (I bought the fabric because it matched my portable charger :D)
Freestyled all the way without measuring nor pressing and just #YOLO!!!!
I had to think on the spot how to sew a curved zipper cos I’ve never done anything so complex before!
So yoloing actually works because it turned out quite successful albeit tight (duh, I didn’t measure but simply wrapped around the charger and prayed)…
Took me 4 hours to (hand)sew it because I don’t have a machine and I’m so proud of myself ๐Ÿ˜€ lul

Then I had some severe insomnia that very night because I was still awake at 4am, then 5am, then 6am and the sun was rising (WHAT THE HECK)???
Its cause was likely my waking up at 4pm and then having hojicha after dinner -____-
So at 7am I was out of the house, in my inline skates LOL!!
Went to a park connector and accidentally ended up in Jurong East .____.
So I skated back and went to a nearby McDonald’s for breakfast!

Nearly smashed into the glass door upon my entrance because there was a steep slope facing the door, a woman in my way, a glorious drain cover with really big gaps and a brake that doesn’t do its job well.
So I was struggling to not fall while I was going down the slope, then I swerved a 360 before coming to a stop then skated into McDonald’s MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA #SWAG

Here’s today’s OOTD

Cardigan from Emoda, shirt from Lazy Oaf, skorts from Zara and shoes from Dr Martens BUT U CAN’T SEE THEM ๐Ÿ˜€

้พ็™ผ่ฑ†ๆฒ™้ค… Loong Fatt Tau Sar Piah & Rong Cheng Bak Kut Teh

Today I was so pissed off in the morning because I couldn’t board the bus TWICE because there were so many students going to school. At noon. You want to go to school, go early ok????
JK, I will forever be angry with anything that doesn’t go my way so…

After an hour (atrocious ain’t it), I managed to board the bus at a bus stop after the schools after changing buses (god I hate changing buses) (that’s why I don’t like taking the trains too) only to realise there was this constantly-empty and unpopular bus that actually takes me there too.
Missed three of that bus because I didn’t know I could take it. Goddammit right????? .___.
I alighted by chance because I recognised a distant landscape and thank god for my memory otherwise I’d be absolutely lost and so mad…
So going to Loong Fatt Tau Sar Piah is totally not difficult because
(๏พ‰โ—•ใƒฎโ—•)๏พ‰*:๏ฝฅ๏พŸโœง PAN ISLAND EXPRESSWAY
and then a little bit of walking ๐Ÿ˜€
The queue was ridiculous but that just meant piping hot tau sar piahs fresh from the oven! WORTH IT!!!!!
When I was done the queue was even longer than when I joined it .___.
IMG_4179 1
If this place ever closes down I would definitely be at a loss man ั‰(เฒฅะ”เฒฅั‰)
So I bought 30 salty tau sar piahs because I like the salty ones better.
10 for myself, 20 for the company as I was making my last visit there to collect my last cheque.
Reason I HAD to go through all these trouble (jk, tau sar piah is never trouble) is because Kellice, who lives in Balestier has no idea that 639 is the original one and I had told her to buy and bring it to work and I would treat the company.
I even gave her the coordinates so there was no way she could get it wrong but lo and behold she did .___.
And on the way to 639 just now, I saw that 603 (the one she bought) was just 4 units before 639.
I mean like, why settle for nice when you have NICER, right?
So ok, the address to ORIGINAL and YUMMY tau sar piah is:

้พ็™ผ่ฑ†ๆฒ™้ค… Loong Fatt Tau Sar Piah
639 Balestier Rd, Singapore 329922
Closed on Sundays
Monday – Saturday: 8:00AM to 4:30PM

$0.60 per piece

You guys are totally welcome (โœฟโ— โ€ฟโ— )

After visiting the office, it was awesome because a bunch of people was chirping that the tau sar piah is so yummy!
I know right????
Then I promptly left after finding directions to Thomson Road, because no one gave a shit about me, except for like a few, for like a few seconds. It’s k. (๏ธถ๏ธน๏ธบ) God bless.
Sat at Salted Caramel and freeloaded their water because I was so thirsty. I am sorry.
Chatted with Michelle, Yong Chin and Jun Yang for a few hours.

Had dinner at Rong Cheng (Sin Ming Road) Bak Kut Teh with Isabelle too!
I have no idea how to return though but I can try if I want, because I have a straight bus here ๐Ÿ˜€
It took me 30 minutes to get home too! See why I don’t like the MRT?
So this is high-Depth-of-Field bak kut teh at $7 which is quite pricey but totally okie dokie because it is YUMMY (๏ฝกโ—•โ€ฟโ—•๏ฝก)
I still haven’t gotten the hang of eating the pork though, it’s so difficult but I try my best.
And this is high-Depth-of-Field tau kee and it is also yummy ๐Ÿ˜€
They got lots of sides and whatnot too and splitting equally, it totaled to $10 per person which is super worth it ๐Ÿ˜€
Bringing my DSLR out today was such a good idea and I have 2 months to lug it around before school starts.
Gonna do it because neglecting my cameras is so not cool.
Have been so long since I used it and today I just couldn’t look into the viewfinder for long before I get irritated cos I was at an uncomfortable position LOL #weak

So on Saturday, it was National Day!!

So I was decked in a joke #ootd before I headed to RWS ๐Ÿ˜€

Everyone was so late and I haven’t had anything to eat all day so I went and got a pack of marshmallows from Muji and emptied the pack in 5 minutes or so LOL!

They came and so did my food HAHAHAHA
Hilary is naked HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I remembered Hard Rock Cafe‘s fish n chips to be amazing so I got them.
They weren’t yummy that day (โ•ฏ๏ธตโ•ฐ,) it was dry and stuff ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Perhaps it’s because it’s not the same outlet but still…

All of us then ran to the theatre because the show was in 10 minutes.
Turns out RWS isn’t as strict on punctuality as MBS is…
The theatre was really small too so at Cat 2, it was the closest to a stage I have ever sat LOL!
Students get 30% off for this show too so it’s amazing ๐Ÿ˜€

It was the second national tour year 3/2/1 (damn chapalang?) cast, from US ๏ฝกโ—• โ€ฟ โ—•๏ฝก

Rock of Ages began like this and it was so cool I had to sneak a photo and it turned out quite shitty but that’s ok ๐Ÿ™‚
This is one of the funniest musical I have ever watched!!
What a nice turn of events too because I didn’t like the movie :/
I was laughing so much especially at Lonny and OMG Franz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Franz sings the best in my opinion, and he looks so cute, and he behaves cute, and when it isn’t his scene and he is a background person, he is so freaking cute doing cute stuff OMG and he dances like kawaii man.
SO KAWAII (โ—กโ€ฟโ—กโœฟ)
Tanner Hussar (Franz) was running away from the theatre the moment we stepped out of the toilet.
Thank god we didn’t loiter in there any longer because Lynette just RAN and stopped him LOLLLLLLLLL so we could get a photo YEAAAAAAAAAAA
I posted this and Tanner commented on my photo เฒฅโŒฃเฒฅ
(I also tweeted to him and he replied เฒฅโŒฃเฒฅ) (I’m on a roll เฒฅโŒฃเฒฅ)

I also edited the photo to make it better.
Flamboyant people are the best kind of people (โ—•โ€ฟโ—•โœฟ)

So we got some autographs and although Tanner wasn’t there that day, it’s ok (he replied me เฒฅโŒฃเฒฅ twice เฒฅโŒฃเฒฅ)

Amanda was crazy over Stacee Jaxx (Joshua Hobbs)! HAHAHAHAHA!!!
We waited outside the theatre until he came out so she could have a photo with him HAHAHAHAHA

Photo with Lonny (Justin Colombo) and half the time I was so amused with his t-shirts!! He also commented on my photo to give thanks! Told you I’m on a roll (โ—•โ€ฟ-)

Side track: Amanda tried to take a selfie and instead of pressing the shutter she clicked on her on-screen menu HAHAHA then Lynette laughed and disappeared from the photo HAHAHAHA ๐Ÿ˜€
Such a great day ๐Ÿ˜€

Anyway, can’t wait for Cavalia!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€
(This post was supposed to be posted earlier but when I got home I took a 20-minute nap and it became 2-hour)
(I’m sorry)
(But the post is here! *:๏ฝฅ๏พŸโœง๏ฝฅ๏พŸ:*โœง*:๏ฝฅ๏พŸโœง๏ฝฅ๏พŸ:*)

I’m free!!!!

Hello everyone!
I have been returned to my lifestyle now that I have ended my internship!!

So on Thursday I woke up at 11.30am and didn’t sleep until 1.30pm or so today.
Then I went home and sleep, then left for Wala Wala ๐Ÿ˜€

Soloing a basket of chicken wings as usual…
After all I had nothing to eat all day! (except a few slices of pound cake)

Most random end to the meet: popping a bottle of champagne LOL
It sucked though…

So yesterday my lunch was at Clementi market…

The really nice pork porridge I had before wasn’t as nice in the form of chicken porridge ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Also really appalling how Chai Ho satay had no queue so I was like YES but it was like NO cos they were only starting the fire let alone grilling the satay ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
For dinner I cooked shiba inu spaghetti!

It had randomly cooked the most perfectly al dente pasta and I don’t know how long I boiled it T_T

Ok and I have 2 months’ worth of food pictures to put here and I’m kinda dreading this but I’m like really GRACEful and nice so here goes:

Spaghetti bolognese at Gastronomia!

Ended the day with roasted pistachio ice-cream from Sunday Folks because Grace told me the pistachio here is better than Haato which I do not believe, and previously when I had it they just didn’t even put in effort to make it nice.
So this one, they had the chopped pistachios Grace mentioned of and it tastes better with the nuts but everything was falling off the cone onto me while I tried eating…
Haato is still better ok!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ (REALLY)

Wei Ji wanton mee ๐Ÿ˜€
Possibly my last one until I ever go to Chinatown not hunting for cafes…

Last $5.50 xiao long baos ๐Ÿ˜€

Last chicken porridge from Tiong Shian Porridge Centre ๐Ÿ˜€

Last ah beng fried carrot cake ๐Ÿ˜€
I was gonna have my last People’s Park Centre yong tau foo but I didn’t go to work on Thursday… :/

There was one day I cooked this very yellow meal and now every time I think of it I want to barf…
Because it was not yummy and it was not pretty and I POISONED MYSELF LOL!!!
Now that I think of it, I poisoned myself with the salmon I cooked last time too!
For two days after the yellow meal, I had diarrhoea LOL!
Didn’t want to cook anything for myself anymore but then I had to cook the shina inu spaghetti because I really needed dinner.

The usual traditional Hakata ramen at Yoshimaru!
Haven’t had it in so long because I always opt for the salmon rice ๐Ÿ˜›
(omg embarrassing, I just command-S-ed this blog post because I thought I was writing a report)

Wala Wala last Friday night for Randolf again ๐Ÿ˜€ (and of course the wings)

Really oily Hawaiian pizza that’s bacon and pineapple. Their pizzas are really not bad though…

Waited quite some time for a seat at The Provision Shop.
The homemade fettuccine did not disappoint though.
Well thank god, because

my lunch from Sushi Burrito sucked!
They told me the salmon didn’t have mayonnaise in it.
Not only that, the nori was so soggy and while I was eating, everything was collapsing and I was so pissed I went to buy McDonald’s fries to console myself and that is so even when I avoid fast food, especially McDonald’s, when I can.
And to think it was so expensive!!! UGH

To make things worse, the dinner before was terrible too!

This black sesame ramen from Yoshimaru is pretty much the first thing I DISLIKE there?
It’s so thick and tastes bad and is super spicy and I choked thrice on the broth OMG
It was like harsh murder but even Hades send me back up so I had to endure the torture of eating it or something.
The broth ruined the eggs but at least the sweet corns were the only still-good thing in the bowl T_T

Went to get some chendol from Island Creamery to save myself…

Supply & Demand is somewhere I’d love to return to ๐Ÿ˜€
I just need friends who are in for a pizza party because their pizzas look amazing!

Hazel and I both got ragu di maiale!
My penne was slightly undercooked ๐Ÿ˜ฆ but it tastes good!

Truffle fries were also yummy!!
But we had to discard about half of it because we were much too full after the pasta ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Took this selfie without effort to send to Edna to show her what I was doing, and turns out I really like this photo because I look strange and Hazel looks like a man and there’s food on the table!!! YAY ๐Ÿ˜€

Some stuff I got Shwen to buy for me while she was in Hong Kong!

Also cooked some gourmet (LOL) instant noodles ๐Ÿ˜€
I always get very happy when I fry my instant noodles because they always look very good! HAHAHAHAHA

Helped at a wedding at Capella! Cutest couple ever!! ๐Ÿ˜€

*pretends to be in California*

Tied the sash on the baby high chair and awww VIB ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

Had my first champagne after the wedding because someone was going around looking for people’s mouth to pour champagne into LOL!
But it was so yummy and I don’t know what it is but I saw “salmon” on the label so I REALLY DON’T KNOW MAN -__-
One of the funniest part of the after party was when everyone was clubbing at a TABLE and there were people standing on the chairs and Swedish House Mafia’s Don’t You Worry Child was playing and then, when it came to the “my father said” part, SOMEONE JUST SHOUTED “MY FATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” DAMN LOUDLY! LOLLLLLLLLLLLL DED.

Bought a snack bag from Beverley because her illustrations are all always so nice, but I have no use for stickers cos I don’t stick them anywhere so yea a cute bag (that I haven’t found a use for lol)…
You can get her stuff from! ๐Ÿ˜€

Tamoya Udon!!! ^____^

Roasted pistachio waffles at Sunday Folks!
Favourite topping is yuzu kanten because I love kanten lol

Was a kampong kia one Saturday for this really cute 1-year-old’s birthday party!

Genius choux pastry iced gems! Didn’t try them though… cos I’m not a guest HAHAHAHA

Before the uncle left, he was trying to clear stocks and this was the BIGGEST ATAP CHEE BREAD EVER ;____; so hepi

Random Pasarbella adventure.
Anyway, I was in charge of the zero-point station so I played a bit before the guests arrive.
Sprained my left thigh although all my kicking was done with my right leg LOL!

And on Sunday night I had to go to the hospital cos my leg hurt like hell and for one time I couldn’t bend my leg cos it hurt like crazy and I kept crying cos as if it weren’t painful enough, everyone was expecting me to be able to move freely as if it was easy and I was so pissed off COS SHUT THE HELL UP???????? ๐Ÿ˜ก
Wasn’t even a very severe injury but I’m like super weak LOL

Went to 119 Bukit Merah Lane 1 with Hazel one dinner!
She told me not to disclose this secret awesome coffee shop but I don’t care cos she won’t know cos she doesn’t read my blog (I think) HAHAHA
Decided on ้ขMiร n by the Travelling C.O.W

Shared a chicken teriyaki ramen burger!! ๐Ÿ˜€
It’s yummy! ๐Ÿ˜€
I swear this is one of the cutest and prettiest coffee shop ever! ๐Ÿ˜€
Wanna return to try the other stalls!

Had dinner with Marissa at Da Paolo Pizza Bar!

We each had a pizza cos those she can eat are what I don’t want to eat hahaha
I got prosciutto e funghi and yea HAM!

I don’t know what took me so long to dine here (I mean I used to work for the group for a very VERY brief period)

Got a free Nutella cake too because Marissa knows the chef lol
It’s nicer than the packed ones at Gastronomia because it’s softer and yea AWESOME ๐Ÿ˜€

I honestly don’t care if you don’t care about how much I love this lol

Lynette gave me an omamori she got from Meiji Shrine while she was in Japan! ๐Ÿ˜€
She proceeded to explain that it’s to ward off evil and that it would burn my hands cos I’m evil??? HAHAHAHA

Had 122 supermarket clearance sushis for dinner HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Also bought $60 worth of nuts for the kacang puteh stall for the birthday party .___.
And so much were left and are now in the office…

Gula Melaka waffles with toasted marshmallows and yuzu kanten the first time I tried Sunday Folks!
Not very much a waffles person but I must say the taste and texture is great ๐Ÿ™‚

TWG‘s macarons: vanilla bourbon tea, grand wedding tea, Napoleon tea and Camelot tea!

Watched The Sound of Music alone!
First time at MBS alone because for the first time Yumiko and everyone else chose school over me V___V k
Was really hungry after the show so I went around hoping there are restaurants still open…
HY California was so promising but it was closed (with customers inside) ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
So I went to Caffรฉ B!

This lasagna is so yummy ;__;

Rather terrible truffle fries at PARK

Sakura matcha Kit-Kat Lynette gave me ๐Ÿ˜€

Poulet roti at Paul ๐Ÿ˜€

Salmon rice at Yoshimaru!

Humongous La Nonna pizza that was gradually less and less yummy as it was so big and it nearly killed me halfway into the pizza :/

Stuffed button mushrooms with tomato puree and tomatoes and topped it with cheese and herbs! YUMS!

Nutella banana dream

Vanilla latte from favourite Oriole!

Noriten is super yummy and addictive????
And when I bought one when I finally found it, it wasn’t as yummy as this one ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Some not bad Teochew bak chor mee at Smith Street! ๐Ÿ™‚

Sorry not sorry

Favourite oyako jyu at Ootoya

Didn’t really like the minced chicken Niigata mini don at Sanpoutei Ramen

But the Niigata shoyu ramen was yummy! Just a little strange cos I’m too used to Hakata ramen ๐Ÿ™‚

Very stingy uncle ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Wala wings on a day the 2nd floor was super full and Kellice and I could not listen to Randolf ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Wala dory chunks :>

Also befriended a bartender because Kellice’s tattoos are forever conversation starters lol

Again lol

4 Fingers because it has a new store in the west!

Tiramisu frappuccino and Eleanor & Park :>

Ikea’s yummy wieners for cheap ๐Ÿ˜€

Ah beng carrot cake lol

Had very high expectations of Tong Ah but… Ya Kun is still better to me lol :/

I cooked really yummy hotdog spaghetti with capsicums and mozzarella ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

A sandwich cake .__.

A pretty cake with pretty birthday girl ๐Ÿ˜€
The cake was yummy but was a mix of the strangest ingredients I don’t even remember anymore lol…

A very plain-looking but yummy duck confit panini at Club Street Social

Smoothie King wrap and angel food before watching The Fault In Our Stars and the movie was so crappy compared to the book!!

A really yummy duck confit pie at Pies & Coffee!
I normally don’t like mashed potatoes but these were good!! ๐Ÿ˜€

I took 4 hours to blog???
Grace, you’d better take me around Toa Payoh for all the best stuff ok???
(I’m serious lol, please PM me cos I lost your number)
Anyway, happy birthday Singapore!!

Competitive flag flying since last month hahaha
Ok goodnight!! My liver is super confused right now…

I think this was where I last left off

I finally found time to blog.
After 2 months (that’s right).
Shoutout to Grace Heah for demanding a post LOL!!
Disclaimer: Judgment accuracy decreased from distance. Also, expect abrupt jumps between days.
Here goes…

Went to Privรฉ for dinner.
I need a car to come here for brunch, which is THE thing that people actually rave about…

Had me the Moroccan spiced chicken which I believe was mediocre, given its reputation…
Also was my first time eating cous cous and decided I didn’t like it.

Triple chocolate and vanilla bean ice-cream! YUMS!!!

Tamoya literally sells the best udon at the most affordable price ever.

Ah Beng carrot cake with some of the peeps from favourite TR03 who came down to meet me after work.
Also the day I gave up even asking to go for a fashion show at Paragon… :/
Also the day…

Tamoya again! If this isn’t convincing enough then…

Went to Ootoya again for dinner one day…

Mini hot soba yum

Mini oyako don yum

Kokuto pafรฉ yum

Tamago pudding yum
Honestly, I have no idea what Ootoya do to their food but it’s so delicious I continually close an eye to their really bad service or rather the lack thereof.
Also a really comforting place to dine at always seeing a few other TFOs.

Went to En Japanese Dining Bar at Alocassia for Mothers’ Day lunch with my relatives!
I have a series of really badly-taken photographs but please pardon me because you know I cannot handle communal food well and also ever since my phone became legitimately smart, I have given less heed to my photography because the instantness of it all is magic enough to me.
I need an Eye-Fi or FlashAir or equivalent and probably then I’ll go back to when I actually cared enough hahaha…

Appetisers (tamagoyaki, stuff, ladies’ fingers)
Couldn’t eat much of the tamagoyaki because it was generously topped with mentaimayo so GOODBYE!
Stuff is so labelled because it’s my first time eating it and I have no idea what it is but it is so yummy.
Think it’s scallop or never mind… Don’t trust me on its identity…

Yummy kani salad ๐Ÿ˜€

Crab again

Udon ๐Ÿ˜€

Nikuzune shiitake ๐Ÿ˜€
Have yet to try making this but I will eventually, perhaps soon!

Matcha azuki!
The food here’s really yummy albeit pricey but like I’ve said, I can’t handle communal food well.
TFO characteristics…?

Yummy ice cheese tart from Flor Patisserie!
Had some cakes from Flor before and they’re ALL yummy! ;___;
But I can’t go there for an all-cake dinner because they close so early!! T_____T

On Lynette’s birthday, I had dinner at Yoshimaru!

Usually have sake gohan when I’m not very hungry or broke or just have no feel for ramen…
But the broth aroma is always so alluring goddammit????
In exchange for promised flight tickets to Japan, I decided to treat Lynette to 2am:dessertbar after incautiously eating there close to her birthday so much so she placed her wild card on this crazy store.

Chocolate praline poprock cake ๐Ÿ˜€

Mediterranean remains my favourite ๐Ÿ˜€ <33333
Just strange enough to be worth the hefty price tag!

Had dinner at Ipoh Lou Yau Bean Sprouts Chicken one evening and contrary to the endless queues and the many reviews online, this was far from impressive.
Not only is the shop name near impossible to pronounce, the food is also mediocre and overpriced and just ugh no thanks!

A day the bunch of JAJ peeps met up for dinner, I managed to measure Leslie’s forehead.

His forehead is a whopping 9cm tall!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s twice my forehead, I kid you not!!!

Good Friday sale got me the cutie littel rucksack from my favourite Lazy Oaf and I don’t have any opportunity to use it lately because how do I wear work-appropriate clothes with this bag without looking like a mum slaved by a brat kid?

Found a vacation home in Wala Wala Cafe Bar.
Also did not know I have been entering illegally all these while LOL!!!

So I had the baked salmon which was ok but the spinach was beer-soaked and nasty (only to me).

The dory chunks were an absolute dream.
They’re basically bite-sized fish & chips without chips, otherwise known as simply fish…
And more visits proved that their snacks are the THANGGGGGGGG

Playing that night was 53A; awesome band I’d say.

Went to Genki Sushi for dinner one day.

These came in “trains” which really were an assortment of race cars. Trains???
Have no idea why but I was jaded with the concept before I even experienced it LOL!
I was more fascinated with the plate bin hahahahaha sorry I have a warped mind.

The best thing they had were these poached egg tempura and though it’s not well made, I liked the dish, mostly because I was imagining what a well-made one would taste like… GOD’S PANTRY OMG

Was delivering stuff one day and had to stand around for an hour waiting so I got some latte at One Shot Coffee and YUM ^_^
After which, when I was free to go, I went looking for my lunch but for some reason I could not find any shop open?????
So I promptly entered Le Chocolat Cafe when I saw its doors welcoming me and actually selling food…

Delicious club sandwich with fries and salad which vinaigrette leaked and soaked the paper bag on my way back to the office lol…

Labour Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Truffle fries at Au Chocolat pre-show!

Was damn swooned when Doody sang Those Magic Changes! ^____^

The evil works of Yumiko…

Beauty School Dropout; always hilarious!

Thought Sandy was very soft and Danny only made his way out with his funny nervous laughter…

Then they took out this board towards the end, got EVERYONE to stand up and sing along.
So being Singaporeans, most stood from peer pressure but only one other group sang and jived?!?!?!
Singapore’s so lame.
The cast was rather lame too forcing everyone into a standing ovation for a show that wasn’t very energetic.

On a side note, Lynette was a fashion disaster.

Went to Wala Wala again because it’s my vacation home LOL!!!!

*** The most amazing fried chicken I have ever had that isn’t glazed with magic sauce but is still magical!! ***
I wolfed down the dozen basket while trying to listen to Randolf Arriola sing but literally EVERYONE (it was crowded too) WAS TALKING ๐Ÿ˜ก
With utmost concentration, I managed to hear him sing the most beautiful rendition of Duran Duran’s Come Undone EVER.
Gotta go back to hear him sing again man…
Anyway, he performs 7pm to 9pm on Fridays.

Martell lava cake!
The crunchy sides were nice, the buffer cake was gross but the middle was yea nice.
Does it not suck? Not liking the taste of alcohol but actually liking the aftertaste of cognac but cognacs are $30 a glass?????????? This world is out to get me!
So I was listening to Reverie being awesome and kinda hoarse and suddenly the bar blacked out LOL what
YA stuff like that…

Look at this glorious sandwich I made!! ๐Ÿ˜€ #chefcasia

Chai Ho satay dinner ๐Ÿ˜€

A meat rice birthday cake.
The week before saw a sushi + sashimi cake.
The week after saw a normal cake but a crazy candle.
And I doubt they’re stopping here.

Us super noisy bunch at Japanese class winning fans (and I snatched Pikachu duh)!!!!

Sake gohan and mini teriyaki chicken burger for dinner lol…

Went to Pasarbella looking for Charly T’s but was too late and pretty much everything were closed except a few including Dancing Crab so that’s where we went.

Delicious pink thyme lemonade <3333

Awesome combo bag filled with crabs, prawns, corns, sausages, clams (don’t eat) and mussels (don’t eat)!
All those were doused in this awesome puree that was a little too spicy for me but tasted awesome!!!
When I was done my lips have swelled to twice its usual pout and I just IDK MAN LOLLLLLL…

Tonkotsu ramen at Ikkousha Hakata Ramen and it’s so yummy!!! ^___^

Went to Balzac Bar and Brasserie for dinner!

Pomme frites; the bomb.

Beef cheeks a la cuillere; the bigger bomb.
Never knew why I never walked in despite always thinking of…
It’s really yummy T_T

Yup, this is the candle I was talking about…

One of the best YTF at the most random food court at the most random mall without long queues ๐Ÿ˜€
Sorry my YTF looks unappealing but that’s good too because YOU ALL WON’T CREATE A QUEUE >:D

Yuzu sorbet and favourite pistachio at Haato & Co. and I noticed a price hike ๐Ÿ˜ฅ but I can’t find reason to part with this pistachio gelato…

Always the nun at a shots bar but the water at Chupitos tastes like crap probably for good reasons though lol…

Favourite prosciutto e funghi at the usual Pasta Fresca but for the first time I was completely ignored from entrance to exit.
I had to walk right up to the counter to place my order, got no table settings until my food arrived, no water was served until I nearly choked and died mid-meal, no one wanted to take my money too?????
Horrible as it is, the pizza felt like a comforting Jesus hand patting my back LOL (isn’t that a perfect description of pizza though???)

Then it was Wala Wala another night again.

You can’t see the wings but they’re there and nice as always…

You can see the chunks but they’re nice too…

Curly potato wedges bought on impulse and ugh too potatoey for my liking…

Vesak day!!!!!
Went to Ma Maison pre-show!

Beef stroganoff with butter rice…
Everything was fine except that some of the beef were inedibly chewy and ugh.

Lava cake from Chocolate Origin and though the consistency is awesome I just cannot trust a lava cake that is pre-broken???? That’s my joy you are taking away from me!!! NO.

Watched The Rise and Fall of Little Voice because the plot is awesome and because Pangdemomium’s productions have so far been amazing…

Really funny show with great plot, sets and vocals!!!
The good thing is there are always student prices for their tickets and for $50 in a mid category I get an amazing view and a spectacular show.
This is definitely better than Grease which I paid more than double for.
I can’t help but to think of how impossibly good Next To Normal was though… ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok, I’m not done but at least now you (Grace) know how my April – May went and what food you (Grace) can eat next! ๐Ÿ˜€

My Fair Lady & SSO Pops Concert: Spirited Away – The Music of Joe Hisaishi

Blogging while my hair dries lol ๐Ÿ™‚

So a day before Valentine’s Day I spent time with Yumiko watching My Fair Lady!

It’s probably a blessing we both like to watch musicals because without it I think we would cease to be friends or something what with her being busy forever and us never meeting up often like we intended to when we enrolled into the same course -___-
Really enjoyed My Fair Lady!! ๐Ÿ˜€
It was really funny; much funnier than the movie!
The funniest part was the Ascot scene, which I never laughed watching the movie twice but cannot contain when I saw it on stage!
The spotlights didn’t follow well and the backdrops had some problems though :/
But I’d gladly watch it again if I don’t have to pay (because I am broke and intend to watch Fat Pig and Grease)…

First row on the circle and while it wasn’t too bad, my back nearly broke with me hunching over the railing so I could see better and also to rest my head on the cold metal lol…

A terrible photo this dude took for us that was blur, slanted and without a second shot!

Was wearing the socks Yuxuan gave me because it was her birthday! ๐Ÿ˜€

I was early meeting her and spent an hour looking at the clouds go by.
Sitting by the museum only because it was a rare sight seeing healthy lotus in the pond hahahaha!
Had dinner at the food court because we were both scrimping…

Tried Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh there because I’ve always wanted to try it but didn’t know where the two outlets were and it came as a surprise to see it at Marina Bay Sands!
The bak kut teh was pretty good both soup and pork ๐Ÿ˜€
Costed me $14.90 for the set I shouldn’t have gotten because the sides were only so-so.

Was reading tips on Foursquare and many people said the iced tea was good so we both got it and yes it is good!
Really rich and creamy but too filling after my big meal for me to finish.
Thought it would be a wonderful ice-cream if it were frozen ๐Ÿ˜€
On a side note, I bought 2 pints of Ben & Jerry’s because they were only $20 for 2!

Couch potato is really nice I think ๐Ÿ™‚

Yesterday a bunch of us went to Pasarbella to celebrate Hazel Tan’s birthday!

Got the pulled pork sandwich from SeaSalt Caribbean Deli because the pulled pork were super yummy when I had the yaroa last time.
However, the pulled pork were only freshly cooked so they were rather tough and I didn’t enjoy it very much and it was a huge portion too!
Gave up eating halfway because I was really sleepy and I fell asleep and missed the birthday celebration LOL .___.
I was really tired because I got home really late after the musical and had a revision lecture at 9.30am that day!!
Went home and took a nap when we left and for dinner I stir-fried some instant noodles that was kind of tasteless…

Well, at least I made instant noodles look somewhat good, no?

Just now I went with my aunt to watch the SSO Pops Concert: Spirited Away – The Music by Joe Hisaishi! ๐Ÿ˜€
Tickets were really reasonably priced and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Joe Hisaishi so when I found out about it in December I immediately made purchase, which was already a dangerous delay from when sales started in October!
There was literally zero advertisements about it and I only found out about the event when I was at SISTIC’s website looking for things to go to!
Was gonna pay for myself but my aunt offered to pay for me ^___^
It was a sellout too! Thank god I was kiasu and didn’t hesitate!
Would’ve gone alone if I had to too!
It is my first orchestra and it was nice ๐Ÿ™‚
Felt a little sleepy halfway through with the dimness of my surroundings and Joe Hisaishi’s music hahahaha…
Departures, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Summer and the encore’s One Summer’s Day and My Neighbour Totoro sounded better than the rest.
I hope Joe Hisaishi comes to Singapore before I die or he dies because I’d willingly pay maybe even $300 to watch him ๐Ÿ˜€

Studied with Fiona at a nearby Starbucks at noon…
Then I had dinner alone at Itacho Sushi before the concert!

Inarizushi and

roasted salmon sushi and tamago sushi and

tempura temaki and

crab meat chawanmushi and udon!
Shouldn’t have ordered the udon because it was so plain and filling!
I could’ve gotten 6 more sushis for the same price!
While Itacho Sushi has really yummy sushi at $1-$2, the bill always scares the shit out of me because I ordered noodles or other stuff…
(I’m so hungry right now and craving for these sushi and sigh… it’s 2am???)

Also had desserts from Awfully Chocolate because Amirah was working ๐Ÿ˜€

Earlier this week..

Wore Lazy Oaf with Lynette and Amanda!
Had dinner at Dulcet & Studio with a bunch of people after the research exam before celebrating Yuxuan’s birthday!

Classic black pig bolognese fettuccine which I’ve had before…
Still yummy but the pasta was a little overcooked.

Tea time cake because it was $2 and the cream puffs I wanted were sold out!
Then we went to Chupitos and they all drank and I sipped some and it’s true I hate alcohol!

On Monday, Daphne Khoo, from the first Singapore Idol, came to school to perform two of her new songs!
She’s so funny! I never knew!! Sings really well too, though my memory of Singapore Idol is super faint.
Apparently Gayle Nerva was there too but I only knew after Lynette told me who she was.

Just joined in for a photo although I didn’t desperately need/want it like Lynette…
There was a little bit of Gayle behind me in the photo but it was cropped to a square oops…

Last week…
Studied with Fiona and had dinner at La Petite Cuisine (omg they do not have a website so I can’t add a link… anyway, it’s at Serene Centre and Thomson too??)!

Really warm hot bread that nearly burned me while I was tearing it -___-
Was yummy though!

Very yummy confit de canard although its portion was quite small!
The chef was super cute!!! He kept walking around and chatting with customers.
He also stared at us taking pictures of our food and demanded to see it! HAHAHAHAHA!!
He said my picture is good because it is shiny HAHAHAHAHA ^____^

The chicken wraps I had at Charly T’s which I was craving for after studying the day before!

Went to Little Diner one day after school for dinner alone! ๐Ÿ˜€

Pan roasted salmon filet was a special that day so I had it since they took the effort to tell me about it.
I’d return to try the fish and chips I wanted to try!

Upgraded my fries to truffle fries at an extra charge ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Very subtle truffle taste but I love handcut fries nonetheless!
Handcut fries are the best in my opinion because omg skin โค

Ok that's all for now… bye!
P.S. I hope my mother strikes the lottery so she can buy me a car

Mazazu Crepe

Last week I spent all time alone because I haven’t gotten a job yet.
And this whole week I was working in an alfresco restaurant; can you imagine working in an alfresco restaurant in Singapore?!?!?!
My sweat glands have never been more active ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
I also have yet to dined there because I couldn’t find it last time and now I can’t eat there because it’s weird and especially so since I tfo on most days.

Anyway before that I had a tfo-chain and on one day I went to Smitten Coffee and Tea Bar because I was at Robertson Quay too early and most every shop was closed and it was really humid that day so omg a shop that’s opened and sheltered!!!

Nibbled on a salted caramel and a hazelnut macaron, seated and shaded.
I hate Singapore’s weather I wish I was Egyptian so I could treat this shit weather as a beautiful cooling day every day.
Then I explored further and oh my god I have spent so much time at Robertson Quay never knowing where on earth Rodyk St is and finally I found this little tunnel thing that takes me there!
I wanted to eat at Toby’s Estate but there were a bunch of people and I hate crowds so I went on to Bar Bar Black Sheep.

Beer battered fish n chips that I couldn’t finish because it was just not yummy…

Oh but look at the depth of field of this!!
Ok then I went to eat this amazing amazing

Strawberry caramel cheesecake gelato crepe at Mazazu Crepe!!!!
Always wanted to try this when I walk past it but always I am too full from the meal before (maybe the shitty fish n chips was a blessing in disguise)…
It was so yummy!!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€
It had so much texture and flavour all wrap up in that little crepe I loved it!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€
But it was kind of pricey for a portion so small.
I thought they’d pack in a whole bunch of ingredients into the crepe but no it was small.
Also, it was very noticeable they increased the price!!
Tip for the boss dude: reduce the price since there hardly is any customer at all??????

And the next day I went to have lunch/dinner at Beaver’s because I remembered Don telling me the food and iced lemon tea is good there.
And cheap to boot.
So I went.

How wrong he was… because it is so miserable and nowhere near wow-I-got-to-tell-everyone-about-this… T_T
I was so sad because it was gonna be my only meal for the day!
Walked around for a while before going to Ah Chew Desserts to please my sad tongue.

The usual mango sago pomelo with vanilla ice-cream ๐Ÿ™‚

Then I went to a SISTIC counter and got me some last minute tickets to Pangdemonium‘s production of Next to Normal!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Prior to this I’ve already liked the tracks from that musical and having watched Spring Awakening last year I was very willing to go because I love musicals and the tickets weren’t crazy since it’s a local production.
That makes it the second time I’ve lent them my support, watching musicals alone .___.

All I can say is that the whole cast was great, the music was great, everything was great!!!
There was a really distinct improvement since Spring Awakening and I was very impressed ๐Ÿ˜€
It was both funny and sad I love stuff like that (why)!

I was waiting for Superboy and the Invisible Girl the whole time hahahaha ๐Ÿ˜€
I love it!!!

Well, if you are reading this now, there are still 4 more shows!
I hope Pangdemonium will do Anything Goes soon! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
And I don’t have money for Hairspray but I doubt there are good seats left if there are any… T_T

The Phantom of the Opera

Yay hello!!
Slept during lecture today and had my last impromptu speaking test just now!
Teacher was really mean not letting me leave early.
Rushed home, got ready and was still late.

So happy to finally go out with Yumiko after god knows how long!!
And to watch a musical again ๐Ÿ˜€
She’s the only one who would say “OK” really fast and mean it when I am looking for someone to watch musicals with!
But she’s like travelly and stuff and she can’t join me for 2 upcoming ones that I want to watch ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Had dinner before the show at Au Chocolat ๐Ÿ˜€
Had to rush because I was late (not my fault)…

Love their truffle fries!
Smelled amazing the moment it was placed on the table ๐Ÿ˜€

Her signature burger!
And she hardly touched her fries because we didn’t have time T_T
TEACHER, LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!! (though you’d probably not give a damn since you’re so bitchy)

My Au Chocolat sweet crepe!!
Yummy! ๐Ÿ˜€
Without the ice-cream, it tasted really plain :/

After that we rushed to the theatre only to see it packed with people trying to get in.
So I went to look for a toilet but there was a queue.
So I ran up, there was a queue. Then I ran down, there was a queue.
So I went to another section of MBS to finally not queue.

Loved every bit of it!! ๐Ÿ˜€
Almost teared when they were singing All I Ask of You but of course I didn’t!
Andrew Lloyd Webber is a legend!!!! I hope Cats will come to Singapore again ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
Still want to watch Next To Normal which I will go alone if I must, and Hairspray which is almost impossible because the seats I can afford sucks and I think it’s too late to get them T_T
And I just found out there’s Swan Lake by Bolshoi Ballet in November and I cannot afford a not-yet-decent seat?!?!?!
I’M SO SAD?!?!?!??!?!?!!!

On a side note, I’m ultra excited for Australia because koala bears and beach and Dreamworld and koala bears and Harbour Town and koala bears!!!!!
